US Forces Fire Missile on Iraqi Militant Facility

U.S. forces in northern Iraq have fired a satellite-guided missile at a target described as a militant training facility once occupied by members of the ousted regime of Saddam Hussein. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
Sunday's missile strike west of Kirkuk was the first satellite-guided attack reported since President George Bush declared an end of major combat operations May 1.

The attack came hours after 17 U.S. soldiers died in the night-time crash of two U.S. military Black Hawk helicopters in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.

Witnesses say one of the aircraft came under attack before crashing into the other. U.S. authorities say the crash is under investigation.

At what point will "major combat operations" not be "over"? Why is it that everyone BUT this administration seemed to realize that as the US entered Iraq, the Iraqis pulled back into guerilla mode?

8. I recently read an article about former Iraqi Generals.

They were being interrogated and said that Saddam had a plan for this guerrilla activity on paper. So, this basically isthe war. He knew he could never beat our hardware superiority in a conventional war.
