Dayton, Ohio: More in county losing homes

Mortgage foreclosures hit a record high last month in Montgomery County, and officials are urging homeowners who are in trouble to reach out for help.

Dan Foley, the county clerk of courts, said 425 mortgage foreclosures were filed in February, the most for a month since his office began keeping computerized records nine years ago.

His office has worked with the United Way of the Greater Dayton Area, Miami Valley Fair Housing Center, Consumer Credit Counseling and local banks on efforts to get people to ask for help when they are facing foreclosure.

Federal law requires many lenders to offer "work-out" options such as delayed or reduced payments and loan restructuring.

8. I grew up there. It has some wonderful progressives and is more

liberal than you might think, My gay friends feel very comfortable in much of the community and there are lots of activists around. Can't say the same for the outlying areas, though.

I am amazed at how significant Ohio is ... thats where Bush won the election and stole it...

On top of it
republicans have cut Medicaid and social programs that help Americans

and passed brutal bankruptcy laws...

and I bet a bunch are uninsured health cases too...

This is the Bush legacy...
