"Overall, our U.S.-China trade relationship today lacks equity, durability and balance," U.S. Trade Representative Rob Portman told a news conference where he released a long-awaited top-to-bottom review of trade relations with China.

He said Beijing's "failure to enforce intellectual property rights, its protection and support for certain domestic industries and its refusal to fulfill certain market-opening commitments" helped fuel the huge U.S. trade gap with China.

Hmmm. China knows how we've used them the last 25+ years.

China knows we know their software piracy rate alone is NINETY PERCENT (90%).

Someone's pickin' a fight.

And the libertarian filth will cry "foul" because regulation is a baaaaaaaaad thing... :eyes: x(

1. I just bought a samsung laser printer -- 49.99 after rebate, probably
made by juvenile prisoners. If I had more dough I'd buy something Japanese.

2.  "support for certain domestic industries"
Last I heard, China was a communist country, so it stands to reason.

The other day, in the context of the google free speech debate, some government guy was harping on the fact that China was a repressive communist country. This fact is forgotten when it comes to enjoying lower prices from Walmart.

3. That should be amusing. Yeah, Bush, put the screws to the
country who owns us. That will go over so big, I'm sure.

4. He also claimed he'd end America's dependence on foreign oil...
and other DUers posted articles pertaining to upcoming budget cuts that directly pertain to hydrogen and other "alternative" fuels.

When it happens, I'll be happy. About time a president does something to stop the insanity. Insanity that's been going on since the mid/late-1980s...

5. You beat me to it.
I was going to say, "OH, that's great. The debtor getting "tough" with the creditor".

Oh, that'll go over real well. Not.:smoke:
