Iraq War Sign Next to Army Office Removed (voluntarily, by creator)
DULUTH, Minn. - A sign tallying the American troops killed and wounded in Iraq has been removed from its spot right next to an Army recruiting office.

Scott Cameron, the sign's creator, said he took down the sign from the adjoining office window to make amends with offended Iraq war veterans and to take pressure off the building's other occupants.

"It was a personal decision I made to be 'Minnesota nice,'" Cameron said Wednesday.

"I respect our troops totally. It offends me that my patriotism has been called into question in the community," he added.

Landlord Melissa Swor, with offices in the same building, told The Associated Press on Thursday: "I'm happy that he took it down so that TV crews are no longer coming in and taping."

1. Well, the guy had real guts
for a while. Although, under pressure like that I'd probably cave too. It's hard to be labelled unpatriotic for just pointing out facts. I feel for Mr. Cameron.

8. penultimate throes
Nah, most come home fine...

oh except for marriages being destroyed by repeated tours,

or when the DoD makes a pay mistake and then concludes the Serviceman was overpaid, so they don't pay him for 6 months,

or the great apathy that comes with a country not really giving a shit because as long as Americans have the Super Bowl Lingerie game or can check the internet for the latest Paris Hilton Slut-a-thon, they could care less about Service members,

I mean after all when the Government focuses on keeping Americans asleep,

well, I made it at least!
