Boycott blog, GOP chief urges members
Boycott blog, GOP chief urges members
By Lynn Bartels, Rocky Mountain News
November 30, 2005
The director of the Colorado Republican Party today urged members to quit posting to one of the state’s most read political blogs, ColoradoPols.

GOP director Hans Gullickson blasted ColoradoPols, saying it is being run by Democrats. He said those running the blog know the identities of people who thought they were anonymously posting to the site.

In recent months, a number of people posting to ColoradoPols have variously attacked or defended GOP gubernatorial candidates Bob Beauprez and Marc Holtzman.

The pair is engaged in a nasty battle to win the primary next August.

Gullickson said he believes ColoradoPols eventually plans to disclose which contributor to the blog said what in order to "hurt Republicans and Republican campaigns."

3. If true, we shouldn't give this story further publicity...

Shhhhhh! Don't tell anyone!

Feel like asking the mods to delete your thread before more Republicans learn about this?

You're putting Project X in jeopardy!

4. Flopsweat desperation, and bullshit!
Logically, if you know someone is going to cheat, and you want to catch them at it, the way to do it is to set up a sting and catch them in the act.

But nooooooo---these idiots toss mud by CLAIMING they know someone is going to cheat, and whining about their secret plan to all and sundry, thus depriving the public of seeing the act and its consequences. You don't WARN the thief ahead of time if you want to catch him with his hand in the till, after all!!

Sounds like Gullickson is sorta, kinda maligning and impugning the reputation of ColoradoPols and by extension, the people running it. Hmmm, wonder if that sort of thing is actionable in a court of law???
