Newsview: GOP Malaise Due to Iraq Unease
WASHINGTON - Most presidents get a boost from overseas trips.
President Bush, though, may return from Asia wondering why he left U.S. soil in the first place.

Caught off guard when South Korea announced plans to pull one-third of its troops from Iraq, the president also could look back on the home front and find things have not exactly been quiet.

Bush returns late Monday to even more political acrimony than when he left eight days ago. The corrosive debate over Iraq is eroding his second term-agenda and challenging the ability of Republican leaders in Congress to maintain discipline.

========================================================================
Another continent, another failure. Bush comes home empty-handed and looking like an idiot. Again.

3. You mean the dogs who survived katrina?
I will never forget those dogs eagerly, desperately swimming toward rescue boats. I will never forget the dead bodies of people and animals.

I watched the PBS Katrina Animal Rescue hour tonight and cried for maybe 2/3 of it.

Republicans kill dogs. It would be only fair if the dogs got some of their own back.
