Investigators allege Kerik took money from mob-linked contractors
November 16, 2005

New Jersey officials Tuesday alleged that Bernard Kerik, the former New York City police commissioner, took money or "things of value" from two reputedly mob-linked contractors attempting to influence his actions as a public official.

The claims were made in a complaint filed by New Jersey law enforcement officials with the Casino Control Commission in an effort to revoke casino industry licenses granted to the contractors and their companies.

Kerik is not doing any business in the New Jersey casino industry and is not charged with wrongdoing in the complaint, but officials said that the contractors in question, brothers Frank and Peter DiTommaso, had a long-standing relationship with him.

A spokeswoman for the city Department of Investigation, which assisted New Jersey officials, declined to comment about any investigation.

1. Lou Dobbs had him on last week
to talk about the Jordan hotel bombings. He had this look on his face that said, "I can't believe I'm still being treated like a responsible public figure."

Maybe we should forward this link to Dobbs for educational purposes.

I'm more than sure Bernie will be found in some dumpter one morning soon.

5. Wonder if the flags will be flown at half mast!
I dread the long period of mourning, don't you? :eyes:

It's odd the revelation of his unsavory deeds never appeared to seriously faze any of the MEpublicans. They didn't miss a beat.

10. This will hurt the "media rehab" job that CNN and MSGOP
have been trying on Kerik. He was on with Rita Cosby after last weeks bombs in Jordan.

8. I keep saying, Kerik is WAY dirty. It was Giuliani who recommended
him for Homeland Security. What does that say about Giuliani? We need to follow up on how this guy went from a chauffeur to being filthy rich and nominated by Bush. No one believed that "he didn't pay taxes on his housekeeper" or whatever it was story. Follow the money on this one and you'll get Giuliani too.
