FOX Poll: President Bush's Ratings Continue to Suffer
FOX Poll: President Bush's Ratings Continue to Suffer

Thursday, November 10, 2005

By Dana Blanton

NEW YORK — As investigations and accusations surround the White House, the latest FOX News poll finds President George W. Bush's approval rating at a record low for the second time in as many months.

Today, 36 percent of Americans approve and 53 percent disapprove of the job Bush is doing as president. For comparison, two weeks ago 41 percent said they approved and 51 percent disapproved, and at the beginning of his second term 50 percent approved and 40 percent disapproved (January 25-26).

Until this week, Bush's approval rating had been at 40 percent or above — buoyed in large part by consistent strong support among Republicans; however, in mid-October approval among Republicans fell below 80 percent for the first time of his presidency and now sits at 72 percent.

In addition, Bush's approval rating is down by double digits among other demographic groups. Since the beginning of his second term, his approval is down 26 percentage points among independents, 16 points among women, 15 points among whites and 11 points among men.

27. You Betcha!
The media whores keep pounding out the same poll numbers, month after month, week after week, day after day.

It's gotta be seriously low. I know of "no one" that likes this administration (BushCO & his pack)! And I now live in a red district. Could have fooled me. People up here wanna talk about *2CO and that's without bringing anything up, on my end.

We can't take another 3 years. Impeach them, now for the sake of our country, the world and my nerves.

28. I can't believe Faux reported under 40%.
I NEVER thought Faux would report under 40. I thought they would dismiss polls as untrustworthy and un-American before they would do that.

The whores of the mass media must be saddened that they do not completely control public opinion - YET.

16. 26% drop among independents - a very important stat
Also, he dropped below 80% (to 72%) among Repugs. Also notable.

When he drops below 95% among morans, we'll know he's really in trouble.

32. Interesting statistics
About the lowest presidential approval ratings in U.S. history may be found here:

http://www.mysterypollster.com/main/2005/10/how_low_can_it_.html

Can we achieve the lowest % in history? I hope so - given the short time it's taken for Bushie to plummet almost exponentially, I think we can.

The graph that shows "Bush Job Approval by Party" is interesting though frustrating - the high points for him are of course 9/11, the Iraq War beginning and the Saddam capture. Though there seems to be a little peak in late 2004 (around the election) - could this have anything to do with their strategically placed terror threat warnings? I wonder.

33. But they didn't report the most damaging stat...
This is really a strange move for FOX News. This is just the kind of stuff they normally gloss over, and offer lame excuses for. But this time they almost told it like it is. They still neglected to point out the most damaging statistic though. The one where 57% of Americans said the believe that the president deliberately mislead us into war. That is so devastating, and apparently too damaging for FOX to include in their report.
