Rocket explodes near Canadian ambassador's residence in Kabul
Two guards were reportedly injured early Wednesday when a rocket exploded outside the Canadian ambassador's residence in the Afghan capital of Kabul

"We had guards from a local company and two of them were injured," a Canadian embassy official in Kabul told The Canadian Press. "The rocket in fact struck very close to our embassy residence."

Defence Minister Bill Graham was in Afghanistan at the time of the blast but "was not involved," Kiersten Leus of the Department of National Defence said in an interview from Ottawa.
