AP: Prosecutor Quiet After Miller's Testimony
Prosecutor Quiet After Miller's Testimony

By PETE YOST, Associated Press WriterSat Oct 1, 8:46 AM ET

It has been two years since a grand jury began looking into the Valerie Plame CIA identity case, a criminal investigation that could close up shop shortly or cause more pain for the Bush White House.

Following Friday's grand jury testimony by New York Times reporter Judith Miller, special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald gave no indication of his plans, and his spokesman refused to comment.

"I'm leaving," was all Fitzgerald offered to reporters as the prosecutor left the federal courthouse where he had just won the latest round in his investigation. He had finally persuaded Miller to cooperate after she spent 85 days in jail for refusing to testify.

2. Fitz is not stupid...

...he knows exactly what he's doing and is not going to give anyone more ammunition by showing his hand.

a pipeline to the whole picture.

4. Miller's Stint in Jail "a Misunderstanding."
"Miller's lawyers said there was "a misunderstanding and Judy wanted to hear it straight from the horse's mouth" that Libby was releasing her to talk to the grand jury about their conversation, Tate said."

See, her attorneys (who are possibly the highest-paid and sharpest First Amendment specialists in American legaldom) simply were confused and thought that Libby's signed waiver authorizing Miller to talk was not freely given despite a Court's conclusion that it was and Libby's lawyer's statements that it was. Just a little mixup.

Sheesh. How stupid does Miller think we are?

5. Shouldn't we ask the NYT to fire this Miller woman?
Edited on Sat Oct-01-05 12:01 PM by Sarah Ibarruri
Hasn't she plotted with the administration? Hasn't she published their lies? Hasn't she spent her time misleading readers of the NYT? We need to start a writing campaign to the NYT asking them to fire this freak.

7. Yeah, J. Miller is a propagandist for sure.
However, I would prefer they put her on restaurant reviews or something equally harmless than firing her out right.

We also need to picket the NYT in mass to demand the end of free reign for government propagandists

original permission was then followed by another comment which was "confusing" and little Judy really needed to be sure...

What a load of crap...

8. Fitz's quiet is aggravating Rove's inability to piss. Must be really
uncomfortable for Rove now with all this pressure. Ahh.

:nopity:
