Hurricane Katrina refugees feel slighted by president (post-speech)
HOUSTON A few dozen refugees who watched President Bush's speech to the nation about Hurricane Katrina tonight say they felt slighted because he never visited the shelter where they're staying and by his administration's slow response to the hurricane's devastation.

Melissa Washington and Samuel Lewis were among those who had a string of profanities to describe their feelings about what Bush had to say.

They and others summed up his words as empty promises.

Lewis says Bush should have been in New Orleans 24 hours after.

1. well, they should feel slighted,
becuase frankly, as far as he's concerned, he could give a shit less about them. He can't even fake compassion/sympathy for them.
