The U.S. military has acknowledged slaying a Kent State University professor in a "tragic accident" in Iraq...

"This kind of incident makes people hate the Americans more and more," he said. Casey reportedly offered to compensate Jmor's wife and their three children for the death.

Pamela Willeford, U.S. ambassador to Switzerland, forwarded Casey's letter to the Swiss foreign ministry on Aug. 18. The ministry asked for more details. The United States has not replied.

Jmor fled Saddam's Iraq 25 years ago and lobbied for the Kurds at the United Nations. But he opposed the U.S. invasion and formed a foundation for peace in Iraq. The Iraqi war has claimed an estimated 26,000 civilians so far...

9. Right - it's better to kill protestors over there
... than to fight them on the streets of America. Because here the whole world is watching; over there, no one sees the thugs who kill democratic dissent in the night.

8. Four dead in Oh-Hi-O; one in Iraq
Does anyone remember the RAGE we felt in 1970?

Does anyone remember 1970?

If you don't, nothing I can say can cause you to feel the way some of us did when our brothers and sisters were MURDERED by thugs with guns.

We thought our country was being taken from us then ... we know it now.

12. i keep trying to get people to pick up that chant.
we had some counter demonstrators, rent a mob gop thugs, at a recent cindy sheehan appearance. they chanted usa usa, and i chanted o-hi-o, count the votes, o-hi-o. it is a reference to last november, but also to the depths to which these people will stoop. we cannot forget.
