Conservative Groups Plan Pro-Troops Events (9/24; FR mentioned)
Edited on Fri Sep-09-05 03:12 PM by deadparrot
WASHINGTON - Conservative groups are rallying supporters to counter an anti-war march planned for this month that organizers hope will attract 100,000 marchers.

Freerepublic.com and RightMarch.com are among the groups organizing "Support the Troops and their Mission Weekend," scheduled for Sept. 23-26.

The groups' largest event -- to honor military families -- will be held on the National Mall on Sept. 25, a day after the anti-war rally being organized by the ANSWER Coalition and United for Peace and Justice.

The "Support the Troops" organizers hope to draw several thousand people.

7. So how will they have their post-demo buffet lunch?
Those Patriot Potties are dual-purposed.

So how many will attend? I am guessing 50. 60 tops.

2. Why don't they ever organize PRO-BUSH or PRO-WAR events? Why do they
always try to change the subject and hide behind the troops?

15. Good question
Doesn't it bother them that their 'support the troops' rings hollow since they know the soldiers don't have the gear they need? Why aren't they mad about that?

3. uh oh, we'll get all the blame for whatever they do wrong and
the media will try to do "equal" reporting by covering them as long or longer than us when we know their numbers will never come close to ours.

6. They will disappear in the anti-war crowd.
ANSWER, UFPJ, and others have been organizing a Sep 24th DC gathering for months. I would expect at least half a million decent people (including me - hope I'm decent ;) to show up. The freepers are going to feel mighty silly in that mass of humanity.

5. "Support the Troops and their Mission Weekend"

The "Support the Troops" organizers hope to draw several thousand people.

Maybe the several thousand Republicans should enlist in the military if they support the troops so much.

I say we offer a counter slogan:

"Support the Troops...with Fire Support. Join the Army."

8. WMD,Yellow Cake, "Mission Accomplished"
Gas Prices, Katrina bungling. Americans killed because of shear stupidity.

And THEY STILL support this junta?

Blind, stupid, ignorant, and many more terms of endearment I can't think of now.

I would love to go see the "thousands"...maybe 100?
Or is that optimistic?

10. pro-war rally
It's a good bet that most, if not all, will be there because they are being paid to go.

But, how many are going to enlist and show their "support" by fighting Bush's war???

11. "Support the mission" = Support Bush!
I'll bet none of the Republican scum will enlist to serve in Iraq in place of the soldiers already there.

Swap a Republican for a GI!

12. They're Pro-(Needless Death of the)-Troops is more like it.
but hey, we're fighting them over there without the proper armor, supplies, and strategy, so we don't have to fight them over here because oceans no longer protect us as we try to carefully balance food upon our starving and dehydrating family or some stupid shit like that.

if they cared, in that hollow echo chamber of their selfish hearts, they'd realize they are only doing harm to the people they proclaim to care about. but no point trying to bring deluded cultists to their senses -- they willingly gave that up ages ago.
