Italian Troops Continue Withdrawal From Iraq

Rome, Sep 1 (Prensa Latina) Italy will soon continue withdrawing its troops from Iraq, following the departure of 300 of more than 3000 soldiers stationed in that Arab state, informed Minister of Defense Antonio Martino Thursday.

Without stating the exact date or number, Martino affirmed that troops will continue returning home.

The Minister pointed out that review of the Italian contingent has already started and will not stop, but he did not say how many soldiers will remain or when the last will be withdrawn.
