Judge moves Muhammad sniper trial to Virginia Beach
The trial of sniper suspect John Allen Muhammad will be moved 200 miles from Prince William County to Virginia Beach, a judge ruled.

Circuit Judge LeRoy Millette said it "has been clearly shown that such a change of venue is necessary to ensure a fair and impartial trial." His ruling, dated Tuesday, was issued early Wednesday.

Millette's decision means that neither Muhammad nor fellow suspect Lee Boyd Malvo will face trial in the Washington suburbs, which were terrorized during a three-week spree of fatal shootings in October.

1. Interesting that both were moved to the same area
With Malvo being in Chesapeake and Muhammed in Va. Beach that'll be the biggest news flurry since the riots that took place in 1989.

4. hey...good thing you put in the good people.. :)
we won't be able to take all the excitement...I would like to sit in the courtroom for a day. The trial in Chesapeake is located in a difficult to reach area for the press. That one will create awful traffic problems for everyone.
