No recent reports of Iraq-Syria border shootings: US gen (2 Syrians Dead?)
http://www.turkishpress.com/news.asp?id=61757

WASHINGTON - A top Marine commander said Friday he had received no recent reports of cross-border shootings despite Syrian charges that two Syrian troops have been killed by US fire.

Major General Stephen Johnson, commander of the marine forces in Iraq's al-Anbar province, said "a couple" of cross-border shooting incidents were reported in March.

"But they've been investigated and we were unable to determine where the rounds came from," he said.

Syria's deputy foreign minister told foreign ambassadors in Damascus that six Syrian troops have been killed and 17 wounded in clashes along the border, including two killed by US forces.

A Pentagon spokesman had no comment on the Syrian claims.

1. Of course there were no shootings, there were just some bullets hanging
in the air and those two Syrian soldiers just threw themselves at the bullets REALLY hard.
