UN Security Council condemns attacks

UNITED NATIONS -- The U.N. Security Council passed a resolution Thursday condemning the London terrorist attacks.

The resolution, passed 15-0, expressed the council's sympathy for the victims of the four blasts that rocked London earlier Thursday. At least 40 people were killed, U.S. officials said, and more than 390 wounded.

The document urges all nations to help bring those responsible to justice and expresses the council's determination to combat terrorism. It was drawn up by Britain.
