Marcia Lieberman dies at 90

STAMFORD -- Marcia Lieberman, mother of Democratic U.S. Sen. Joseph Lieberman and a pillar of the local Jewish community, died at 11:25 p.m. yesterday at her home in downtown Stamford, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Lieberman, 90, died of congestive heart failure, said Rabbi Joseph Ehrenkranz of Stamford, a longtime friend of the Lieberman family. She was being treated for a blood ailment since February, but her health became critical over the weekend, Ehrenkranz said.

Sen. Lieberman and other family members have been with her since Friday, when he last spoke to Mrs. Lieberman, the rabbi said.

"She knew how sick she was," Ehrenkranz said early today. "She indicated she was waiting for life to leave her body."

it is hard to lose your mother even when you are an adult, it really hurts. :-(

so I understand this loss for the Lieberman's. What a great life and a great person she was!
