MAASTRICHT, Netherlands (AP) -- Thousands of anti-war activists protested U.S. President George W. Bush's visit to the Netherlands on Saturday, saying the man who started the Iraq war should not pay tribute to those who died in World War II for Dutch freedom.

Depite bad weather, 8000 attended anti-Bush protests in Amsterdam. The gathering started near the American Embassy and worked it's way through city center. Many joined in along the way shouting ‘Bush, Bush, terrorist!’ Among the speakers were Salam Ismael, surgeon from Iraq who visited Fallujah shortly aftert the American occupation and Azmatt Begg from the UK, father of an ex-Guantanamo Bay prisoner
