New round of talks at Eastman Machine (NY)

<snip> UAW Area Director Kevin Donovan confirmed that a meeting would be held but said he did not know what will transpire. The union official said he would not participate in the session.

Members of UAW local 936 on April 7 overwhelmingly turned down the company's proposal for a new three-year collective bargaining agreement. If approved, the offer would have ended a strike which began on March 12. <snip>

The union is striking over issues that officials say involve job security. <snip>
