SEPTA Releases Service Interruption Plan (Philadelphia)
Edited on Thu Apr-07-05 06:14 PM by struggle4progress
PHILADELPHIA, April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- SEPTA has released a Service
Interruption Plan to help transit customers cope with the effects of a
possible transit strike next week.

Negotiations between SEPTA and Local 234 of the Transport Workers Union continue, with the goal of reaching a new agreement before the current contract expires at 12:01 AM, Friday, April 15.

A strike would shut down all public transit service in the City of
Philadelphia with the exception of Regional Rail service, CCT Connect for registered ADA and Shared Ride customers, and the Lucy loop through University City. Also affected by a strike would be 18 bus routes in the suburban Frontier Division, that operate primarily in Bucks and Montgomery counties. <snip>
