Tightest security to protest Bush on 2 day stay with the Queen
<snip>
"THE biggest security operation seen in Britain will be mounted when President Bush makes a state visit to stay with the Queen in November.
The visit, from November 19 to 21, is certain to provoke huge anti-war protests."

<snip>

says the UK's The Times, which goes on to warn that, although much planning has taken place, anti war protesters are planning extensive protests at the visits:

"Andrew Murray, of the Stop the War Coalition, said last night: “Millions of Britons who opposed the war which George Bush dragged us into will be horrified at this news and believe the invitation should be rescinded immediately. If he does visit Britain, he will be met by demonstrations and protests every day.” "

more: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2-831203,00.html

This follows on from yesterday's warning by Labour elder statesman Tony Benn that such a visit would be a crackpot idea, given that President Bush has little respect among the UK population, and that such an ill-advised, ill-timed visit was completely against the general mood in the UK which was still aghast at the findings of the Hutton enquiry into the death of Dr David Kelly.

The presidential visit is being touted as stemming from a personal invitation by Queen Elizabeth but that is usual, official parlance for government business.

4. Great new website to be launched to commemorate Bush visit:
On my local radio station this morning, news that a large group of eminent, professional people who are closely familiar with Dubya and his entourage as well as Poppy and his mob, will be launching a special "feel REALLY at home on your state visit, George" website on the day of his arrival in the UK.

Items to be included are answers to all those sticky questions he felt he couldn't somehow answer with candour during his presidential campaign in 2000:

EG:

Q: Could you really pass the test for presidential candidates that states no drug use for at least fourteen years before running for office?
A: Yes, I believe I could.....

Q: Have you ever paid to procure an abortion?
A: ???????

etc...

Also to be included are details of various lawsuits he and Poppy lost during the 1970s and 1980s to various, influential UK residents - pillars of society! - who have so far chosen not to put the full, sordid details into the public domain.

The radio snippet said the website would be hosting a kind of "George W Bush, this is your life!" to fill in all those gaps that his personal curriculum vitae might not have mentioned to the unsuspecting US electorate. Any amnesia he might have suffered while at the hustings will surely now be dispelled!

8. why?
Is it all a big joke? Is fortifying the contempt of many of bush's supporters ("lookit them drunken hippie shameless perverts etc") by providing evidence THEY (and by extention bushwaco) are the quiet responsible adults although maybe guilty of being too earnest in pursuit o justice etc but not like that godawful juvenile minority who 'bares their bums' etc....(!)
In a mediawhore driven world the mediawhores will focus on anything that minimizes the gravity of the bush disaster, or the scope of the adhoc opposition to PNAC and all the rest of the killer class's agendas.
Much like the tiny precious anti globalization protests, which really help the corporate criminals by implying there's democratic opposition (tho only busybodies!) and reasoned debate ie CNN/Fox; using humour and risque-type tactics may work among drew carey's goober fans but will disgust many who get their news about the latest reagan revolution from the m'whores....imo.
btw good luck to all!

11. It's what the Japanese Emperor got as his official salutation
from former world war 2 torture victims, when he was on some imperial state visit....

When Hirohito came to London a few years ago, WW2 vets were going to do the same, but given the weather and some rabid moaning from the Queen Mother ("such a nice little emperor, pleeeese don't upset him"), they just decided to turn their backs on him instead during the grand procession up Constitution Hill.....

12. You said it
better than I was going to.

I saw Clinton last spring. It amazed me the seeming 'lack' of security around him. After his speech, he went along the edge of the audience by the stage and shook hands and answered more questions. It was incredible. And this is a man that most of the cowards on FR have wet dreams about killing.

15. Clinton Believed In The Constitution And People
In one campaign appearance, he had a heckler in the crowd. Clinton told the crowd that the heckler had as much of a right to speak as he did and invited the heckler up on the stage.

Smirky McChimp fears the people: always has and always will. Just too afraid that someone wants to collect what he's stolen out of his hide.

22. Oh good grief!
Our ignorant, compulsive, arrogant,
self centered, ill mannered clutz
if actually going to visit the queen?

He chokes on pretzels and falls on his
face, he practically pulls his daughters
dress off when he dances with her, he
falls down airplane steps, he falls of
Segways, he drops the dog onto concrete,
and these are just the things Karl Rove
couldn't find a way to hide from us.
Now he's going to represent us to the
queen?

I want to crawl under the bed with
shame.......please don't tell me what
court jester antics he pulls while
he was over there!
