Carters assume lesser roles at center
ATLANTA -- Former President Carter and his wife, Rosalynn, have left the top posts on the board of trustees of the center they founded in 1982 to promote peace and health programs around the world.
...
In a statement Tuesday, the 80-year-old Carter said he and his wife are in good health and plan to continue with the center.

"As its founders, we know The Carter Center will always be linked to our identity and personalities, but we proudly recognize the center has expanded its reach beyond what the two of us contribute," he said.

Center staff have worked at combatting disease in Africa and South America, monitoring elections in nations with emerging democracies and on other projects.

9. They are true Americans exhibited by their
actions. I wish we had more of their fire for democracy and total activism, unlike the current b.s. admin. Current admin is nothing but a scary joke.

3. I'll be part of the Habitat for Humanity Jimmy Carter project this summer
The Carter's are truly a class act for their humanitarian work, not the least of which is the annual Habitat project to which the Carter's give their time and support. It should be an exciting and enjoyable week.

4. Jimmy Carter's distinguised post-presidential
career should be the model for every former President. A life dedicated to promoting peace and helping the poor - a truly great and inspiring man and one who lives his religious values. We could use a whole lot more Jimmy Carters in Washington.

6. I'd like to see what the Chimp-in-Chief will be doing 20 years from now
I'll bet it won't have anything to do with making the world a better place.

7. The day after he leaves the WH the chimp will
go on a one-week bender behind closed doors in Crawford. When he dries out, he'll accept the first of hundreds of invitations to speak in front of corporate gatherings for six or seven figure paychecks. His contract will state that travel expenses are part of the package as are lavish hotel/resort accommodations, meals, and endless rounds of golf.

Chimp will never spend a minute doing anything constructive or charitable. He'll be the worst ex-WH resident - ever.
