Bush visit prompts protests threat - BBC UK Edition
<http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3139952.stm>

snip> Mr Bush is likely to require tight security for the visit, which is his first since the war against Iraq.

The chairman of the London-based Stop the War Coalition, Andrew Murray, warned Mr Bush would be dogged by demonstrations.

His ally and coalition partner in the invasion, Prime Minister Tony Blair, is already embroiled in deep controversy at home over his role.

1. I hope
these demonstrators are not sent to a side area out of the cameras views.

2. Yes that would be a shame.

Think what we might be missing

'Bare Your Bum at Bush'
Background
George W. Bush has already cancelled one visit to this country because he felt more than a little unwelcome. The man is terribly secretive about state visits, but Laura Bush recently let slip that a visit to the UK is being planned sometime in autumn. Our aim is to give the man the bum's rush before he even arrives and/or show him exactly what we think of him in the finest British tradition.

Method
George Bush is unlikely to walk around the streets kissing babies because of the large number of people that wish to blow him up. However, a 'Brits love Bush' photo-op of happy crowds greeting the man may be in the offing and it's vitally important that we rob him of such a lucrative propaganda device. By attending such gatherings (by accident or design) and ensuring that you bare your buttocks as he passes by, you either render any photos taken at that moment unusable or make a very clear indication of what Britain thinks of this bigoted warmonger.

6. The originals might be unusable but...
with today's technology and the CIA they probably can doctor the photos to their liking.

Gee I miss that show "The Agency".

7. Doctoring photos might not work
I am sure there will be lots of private citizens with cameras and video recorders and foreign media on hand as well. I don't think the non-British European media and the non-conservative British media would necessarily oblige the White House by obliterating the offending posteriors from their own photos.

I am sure the French press would take great delight in splashing photos in their newspapers of a bunch of bare British asses pointed at the Imposter in Chief.

If it came out that the craven bush asslickers in the US media were altering/cropping photos or to avoid showing moon shots aimed in Chimp's direction, it could actually mean more adverse publicity for the Chimp.

3. I don't think they have "first amendment zones"
in the UK. At least I hope they don't. :)

5. Blair can always introduce them
It's not like he has any love for the people he is supposed to serve.

Mind you, if I go down to protest Bush I am already thinking, should I start leafleting on behalf of a Dem presidential candiate or something?

4. I'm sure Jr. will have an ample supply of tranquilizers and horse blinders
to protect his fragile ego from the big bad demonstrators.
