Bush to Meet Leaders of Canada, Mexico on March 23
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush will try to ease frictions with U.S. neighbors Canada and Mexico at a three-way summit meeting in Texas on March 23 that includes a coveted invitation to his Crawford ranch.

The White House announced on Thursday Bush would hold working sessions with Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin and Mexican President Vicente Fox at Baylor University in Waco before hosting a lunch for them at his "Prairie Chapel" ranch about 25 miles away.

1. I look forward to the negotiations going nowhere.
I hope they tell him to go back home.

2. Someone needs to inform Bush that when you play good cop/bad cop
with our allies, you generally don't play BOTH roles yourself.

"insane cop" -- where you act so unbalanced that people nervously do whatever you say, because they don't know what's coming next!

3. Would they just not send an RSVP?
If they knew how many millions of Americans would send them accolades, flowers, ribbons, and all of our heartfelt appreciations?
Last minute, sending a subordinate would do. There is no way that they could "trust *" with his record! He could have them removed in one fell swoop at his whimsical command! He would do it too, because it would cause a world turmoil in which he could accomplish many actions he would like to undertake with his dreamed of power!

5. "coveted invitation"
That doesn't sound like objective reporting to me.

In fact, it sounds like right-wing propaganda designed to keep the masses ignorant of the fact that most of the world hates Bush and is looking for every way possible to bring this country to its knees.

If the media were telling the American people how much damage Bush is doing to our standing (and thus our economy and security), people would be asking for a change.

6. Crawford? Coveted? HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
That is the funniest thing I've seen written in the press about Bush. Not even the syncophant jounalists want to go to that flea biten scrabble of an ant hill.

7. haha, "coveted invitation" indeed

About the last thing PM Paul Martin needs is pix in the Canadian papers of him moseying around Crawford with Dubya. And don't be looking for any of him shooting critters.

I suspect that Martin and Vicente Fox are just planning to wait until the boy hits the hay (which I gather tends to be rather early) so they can get down to business, or heck, even pleasure, without the pesky annoyance. With him picking up the tab.

;)

8. that wouldn't be featured on the Grits' election brochures anytime soon!
Remember how JC slammed Mulroney for all those fishing trips with Poppy!

Funny thing is, I've heard that our PM did his own tractor work at his farm, back when he was in Cabinet. If so, that would make him more experienced at actually running a farm than Dubya.
