BRUSSELS (Reuters) - The European Union (news - web sites) intends to end its ban on arms sales to China, French President Jacques Chirac said Tuesday after talks with President Bush (news - web sites), who highlighted Washington's security concerns.

"With regard to China, Europe intends to remove the last obstacles to its relations with this important country," Chirac told a news conference just before all 25 EU leaders began a summit with Bush.

1. It's hard to be happy about arms sales by anyone to --
-- anyone, but I suspect that Chirac is demonstrating to Dubya that "old Europe" still has some zip in the old curve ball.

Even if Dubya doesn't get it, maybe someone on his staff can explain that France very likely didn't care much for the smear job the Bush administration did on it in the months following 9/11.

Freedom fries, anyone?

3. Canada and Australia have no bans... The US want to be the only
weapon profiteers while whining that "China could attack US soldiers over Taiwan with European weapons"

4. "So stick that in your big fat corrupt Military Industrial Complex.
Republican President Dwight Eisenhauer (Sp?) warned you about this, but you did not listen. It's too late now. We are going with the Godless Evil Red Chinese, just like George Bush's brothers who have made a pretty penny forthemselves.

Have another French Fry, President Faux "Freedom" ?

5. China couldn't possibly make their own weapons
since all they manufacture there are shoes and toys and damn near every other thing Wal-Mart peddles.
