Christians feel vulnerable in post-Saddam Iraq
http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/L21476097.htm

BAGHDAD, Sept 21 (Reuters) - When U.S. soldiers asked a Catholic priest in Baghdad if they could attend mass at his church, he said yes, but asked them to sneak in a side door so Muslims in the area would not see them come in.

"I don't want anyone to think we are associated with them," said the priest, who asked not to be named. "We are afraid." snip

"People say things like 'Your uncle is an American'," said Sanaa, a member of the same Chaldean church. "They think we are going to support the U.S. They are wrong."

"Under Saddam we were not afraid of anything. Now we are afraid of everything. I'm afraid of whoever knocks on my door. Before we were living in peace."

2. If it's anything like what he's done here...
then they truly need divine intervention. Ironic, isn't it, that Christians under U.S. occupied Iraq feel less secure now than they did under Saddam?

What's really sad, is that in just 2 1/2 years, Whistle Ass has managed to do massive, untold damage to our country, and he started his term with a surplus budget, and a strong country. Iraq, after years of embargos, started in bad shape, and all he's doing his grinding them into the dust with his heel.

3. Bush is the opposite of Midas
He turns everything into s**t.

The thing that I find most ironic is that supporters on this war argued that we needed to invade Iraq to get the Islamic extremists. However, it looks like the Islamic extremists may have become more powerful in Iraq since the invasion and Saddam was the one controlling them.
