Bush Radio Address:To place one's hand on the Bible...humbling experience
Bush Radio Address: http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2005/01/20050122.html

Good morning.

My fellow Americans, earlier this week I had the honor of taking, for the second time, the oath of office as your President. The inaugural ceremony is simple, yet its meaning is profound. Every four years, the American people hold an inauguration to reaffirm our faith in liberty, and to celebrate the democratic institutions that preserve it. To place one's hand on the Bible and swear the oath is a humbling experience, and a reminder of the high trust and great responsibility that the presidency brings. With deep appreciation for your support, and mindful of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, I'm eager to begin the work of a new term.

In the years since I first swore to preserve, protect and defend our Constitution, our nation has been tested. Our enemies have found America more than equal to the task. In response to attacks on our home soil, we have captured or killed terrorists across the Earth. We have taken unprecedented steps to secure our homeland from future attacks, and our troops have liberated millions from oppression.

At home, thanks to pro-growth policies and the hard work of the American people, we overcame a recession and created over 2 million new jobs in the past year alone. Now we move forward. We remain in a war the United States will continue to lead -- fighting terrorists abroad, so we do not have to face them here at home. We will strive to keep the world's most dangerous weapons out of the hands of terrorists and tyrants. And our nation will stand by the peoples of Afghanistan and Iraq as they build free and democratic societies in their own lands -- because when America gives its word, America must keep its word.

As I stated in my inaugural address, our security at home increasingly depends on the success of liberty abroad. So we will continue to promote freedom, hope and democracy in the broader Middle East -- and by doing so, defeat the despair, hopelessness and resentments that feed terror.

1. I bet he'd find it more humbling to put both hands on the Bible, open it
up and actually read it instead of ignoring what it says.

He certainly doesn't know the Jesus Christ of the bible.

45. He says things like this because it pushes his backers' buttons
and they think he's wonderful for saying it.

He's no more knowledgable or humbled by religion than the most hideous serial killer.

47. * got stuck on Begining
He managed "In the" by sounding them out but everything else was too hard for him. As mythologies go, the Bible isn't too bad. But when you base your entire belief system on what other people tell you is written in a book, you are really setting yourself up for disaster.

53. yes, it's only humbling the first time, W. That feeling passes.
Eventually, you'll work up to actually opening it.

Then, when you learn to read, you can use the bible for more p.r. bullshit. Just think of the possibilities.

Our security at home depended on you to READ the Hart-Rudman Report
on Global Terror that was handed to you on Jan.30, 2001.

You refused.

Thousands of Americans were murdered, mostly by Saudis, on Sept.11, 2001. Almost 9 months AFTER you were handed a 21/2 year study on global terror.

Now you use that event to line the pockets of your war-profiteer cronies with NO concern to the Saudi role in the attack.

Bush is a TRAITOR to this country.

10. I've heard that he requested G. Washington's Masonic Bible in 2000
... for the Inaugural. Does that mean GWB is also a Mason ?
And if so, from what I've read (which is admittedly confusing stuff), then everything this POS stands for is 100% AGAINST what the Masons are supposed to be about.

Anyone able to shed some light for me ?

Gracias ~

23. LOL
i love your choice of words. "shed some light", that's gotta be a subconscious choice (the masons harbored the illuminati (enlightened ones) of the renaissance era, from the catholic church. the dollar bill is full of illuminati and masonic symbols, and most of the early leaders of the country were masons if not illuminati, plus there's some connection between banking and law firms, and the illuminati--and GHWB is in thick with the banks)

it wouldn't surprise me that he claims (in secret) to be a mason, cuz daddy's one and he's gotta do better than daddy.

but your'e right, everything bush is for is against the masonic principles. he's a disgrace to everyone who comes in contact with him.

27. ... and that's what I don't understand ...
I've been reading 'Talisman' by Graham Hancock and Robert Bauval, and they go all the way back to the Cathars and the Hermeticists ... and trace the 'counter-religions' forward to the appearance of the Freemasons in the 17th <?> century.

If my limited understanding of the principles of Masonry are correct, how can ANY member of the BFEE - especially someone with hands as bloody as Poppy - be a Mason ?

Thanks for the feedback :hi:

28. the masons aren't really what they used to be anymore
it's more like an elk lodge now...not the old rites of enlightenment...i'm sure they still have those sorts of lodges some places, but it's getting so the masons are just a country club now.

the masons are a lot older than the 17th century, btw. read Uriel's Machine by Christopher Knight and Robert Lomas. they do a pretty good job of tracing the masons and illuminati throughout history, going possibly back into prehistory. (stonehenge and the barrows in england, the pyramids, etc.)

He was not elected, both times , it was not our fault.

The mendacity of the mistaken neo con plans will eventually sicken enough people, like Vietnam, and the people will rise up above the lies and fraud , and demand change. When , is the question .

30. EVERY day this week, SOME kind of trash about the "piety" of Shrub.
Edited on Sat Jan-22-05 12:59 PM by BiggJawn
So when is Mad Max gonna produce "The Passion of The Chimp"?

Every damn day this week, either on NPR (den of whores) or the MSM, some trash about just how pious Shrubya is. So he went to church on a Thursday morning, BFD. They wheeled Billy Graham in to speak. Franky Graham was there. They brought out a historic Bible for him to use for a prop (OK-here's proof that there is no God. Bush should have burst into flames while touching that book, but he didn't.)

Every DAY! The Media sounds more and more like TBN or EWN.

How long before Judy Woodruff and Tucker Carlson and Nazi Pat start injecting "Praise JEEEZush!" into their reporting?

I don't wanna live in a country like that. You shouldn't want to, either.

It really doesn't matter if it was from his Texas Ranger days, the important thing is that Bush has a "Halo" around his head, and it wasn't photoshopped.
