Saddam to Be Moved to Qatar U.S. Base
http://www.fox6.com/news/national/story.aspx?content_id=4E3AC2F2-5051-43C7-A17C-FEEFF4F00162

Ousted Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, who is being held in a prison at Baghdad airport, will be transferred to a U.S. military base in Qatar.

Beirut's daily newspaper al-Mustaqbal, quoting Iraqi sources close to the interim government and the U.S. Army command in Iraq, reported Monday that a decision had been made to move Saddam to the U.S. al-Adid military base near the Qatari capital, Doha, probably during next week.

The sources said the decision was made in consensus with the Iraqi government as a precautionary measure against surprise developments that might occur ahead of the upcoming elections slated for Jan. 30.

Surprise developments that might occur. What the hell does that mean?

2. Sounds like they are concerned about sieges on the US bases!
The US bases aren't even secure there anymore. Talk about a chimp/US policy/ strategy crumbling before the eyes of the world in real time.
Before chimp, this kind of thing only happened to corporations.
