4. CONSOLIDATION: Cush reported this at the same time...
Here's the link to Cush's thread:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=102&topic_id=105207

However, it's best to keep our discussion about the latest Jerusalem bombing consolidated into one thread, so let's leave this one open.

Thanks!

5. How long before someone justifies it as "Israel policy caused it"?
Arafat may not survive this one.

10. don't stir the pot then
unless you like how ugly these discussions get. Think we can keep it at a reasonable level so it doesn't have to wisked off to F/A?? Let's take a whack at it, eh?

12. It's funny....but it's NEVER Israel's fault is it?
The concept that Israel can never be at fault seems just as silly as saying it's always the fault of the Palestinians. In the meantime, innocents die on both sides, but we can be happy knowing that it was the fault of 'terrorists'.

This problem will never be solved till both sides retract their heads out of their asses.

18. Both sides? There's only one side to this........the one we're funding.
But seriously, be careful. If this turns partisan it'll in up over in FA/NS and if I follow it there by post will be deleted, happens everytime.

25. Nice choice of words
"Final solution." I seem to recall that phrase being used before (~60 yrs ago) when speaking of the Jewish race. Only now, it looks like the Jewish race may be the ones on the giving end instead of the recieving end of this "final solution to the Palestinian problem." Is this F-ed up or what?

Clinton's administration?

Now compared to Smirk?

24. It could have been much worse
Accourding to CNN a security guard stopped the suicide bomber from entering the cafe. If the SB had gotten inside the cafe, the death toll would have been much higher

28. The horror, the horror...
I guess as the Old American Republic dies it's quiet death that thingsd like this will become much more commonplace, both around the world and in the Empire itself.

29. Oh no, not again?
I have friends there, and hope they are OK.

I'm always hoping they are OK.

Palestinians living in despair.
Israelis living in fear.
Everyone is to blame and no one is to blame.
But the cycle of blood never stops.

The killing cannot go on forever. Or can it?

30. I have family living near Jerusalem
Very recently, just a couple of bombings ago, my cousin Olga was waiting at a bus stop when a bus blew up about 5 meters from her. The only thing that saved her was the fact that there was already a bus in the bus stop and the bus that blew up couldn't pull all the way in.

Well, I guess I'll wait until a decent hour and call Olga to see if she, her mother, her twins and the rest of my family are still O.K. ir if any of them were hurt or murdered this time.

31. Hell of a way to live, isn't it?
Hope they are OK, as are my friends, and it sickens me every time I hear news from over there that there seems so little we can do.

Events have overtaken sanity on all sides.
