1. The more american servicemembers killed
the more christian conservatives will support bush in his just cause. christian conservatives do not care if our kids are slaughtered, maimed, ambushed or blown up in iraq, because they think bush is an honest man of integrity. They are too busy concerning themselves with important christian conservative issues like sodomy between consenting adults and a woman's right to choose to sweat our kids getting killed. AND THIS IS WHAT REPUBLICANS ARE COUNTING ON. THIS IS GEORGE BUSH'S BASE CONSTITUENCY. IT MUST REALLY SUCK BEING A REPUBLICAN.

there are some common points between Middle Age Rome and US,
like mixing power and religion.

integrism was and is the worst world disease.
integrism is clearly linked to all religions.

no god, no master and peace on earth !

2. At least they haven't parsed this list
The least they can do for the families is to include every soldier killed.

4. And how many of the wounded
have been critically maimed for life?

How many people think "Oh, he was just wounded", when in fact some young man or woman just had their legs blown off and will be confined to a bed or wheelchair for the rest of their life.

The true cost in human misery is not contained in the caualty = killed lists.

5. So far, Iraq is only slightly more dangerous than
Washington DC.

"DC...with nearly 600,000 residents, had 262 murders last year."

Link

------------

About 73 deaths per 100,000 in Iraq and 43 per 100,000 in DC. Maybe we should refocus those defense dollars on cleaning up our own backyards?

Unless you are an Iraqi. Then I think Iraq is more dangerous by the numbers.

I was trying to be glib.

How much money are we pumping over there when we can't even keep our capitol's streets clean?

8. This is EXACTLY how the DoD lists them - alphabetically
It's very confusing. I think it's easier to understand and keep track when looking at them by date of death.
