DEMAND THAT CNN RE-CHECK THEIR FACTS on the Election Fraud Report
I just watched their report- mostly about Ohio. They reported 400 marchers which seems to be way off base (especially after seeing their footage). Anyone know how many actually attended? Please clarify so we can respond en masse to their "incomplete" report.

Next, they claimed that ALL over the overvote reports in Ohio precincts have now been corrected. My understanding is that this is not true. Anyone who can confirm what is true regarding precincts reporting more votes then voters?

They also said that the Kerry campaign is not involved with the Ohio investigation (and played a clip of the Boston concession speech). . My understanding is that the Kerry campaign and attorneys are involved and are supporting the investigation. Did I miss something? I know they waffled about the amount of their involvement but the last thing I read said they were working with all parties on the recount efforts. Anyone have any other info?

Finally, they reported that "a few" members of Congress have asked the "General Accounting Office" to investigate some of the voter irregularities. First of all, it's not a few members of Congress- it's more like 8 or 10 members. Can someone clarify how many? Next, I think CNN should be reminded that their investigation demand (there were 2 actually) includes 57,000 reports of irregularities and problems. Might this not be a big enough number for CNN to report on? 100-200 ok- but 57,000? GEEEEZZZZ.

Also, the GAO is no longer called the General Accounting Office - CNN conveniently used an outdated, less important sounding title to spin this to downplay the impact of Tuesday's hearing. CNN needs to know that the General Accountability Office is a powerful, non-partisan agency that works as the congressional watchdog on behalf of the Congress and the American public. Their role is to evaluate complaints and issues that relate to federally funded programs (such as elections), audits federal expenditures, and issues legal opinions. When GAO reports its findings to Congress, it recommends actions. Please tell CNN that this is a MAJOR AGENCY and having them agree to a hearing and a major investigation is no small matter. (Perhaps we might suggest that they cover the hearing on Tuesday? Interview some of the Congress Persons involved?)

Please write to CNN and demand that they print the real story- not their version which truly does little to demonstrate the enormousnesses of this issue.

DO NOT LET THE MSM GET AWAY WITH FALSE REPORTS!

3. Any chance there is an aerial photograph?
Organizers of protests in Miami a few years ago resorted to aerial photographs because they disagreed with Miami Herald reports of attendance.

11. Yes, stop bothering with CNN and take the next step...
...start bothering congress critters.

We MUST take action

Here is a Declaration of Intent that we all need to demand that our "leaders" sign on to.

It's one thing to sit on your hands (ala Jan. 6th 2001) while no one is watching. But it's quite another to be put on the spot to do your duty, or fail to, and then have to look in the mirror every morning.

They must be shamed.

15. Fact Checking
Edited on Sun Dec-05-04 12:51 PM by KaliTracy
I definitely will be sending a letter to CNN, and others today.

The House Judiciary Commitee (37 members from as many states) Sent Kenneth Blackwell this letter http://www.spidel.net/ohblackwellltr12204.pdf 15 pages full of questions about what went on in Ohio. They have asked him to come to the House Judiciary Committee hearings next week (which I do not think are the same as the GAO hearings)

There were about 600-800 (maybe 1000) BUT they did not all stay -- and the ones that left, some took their place. It was VERY windy.

16. Full-page Ads campaign?
Does anyone know if there is an already created organized effort to take out full-page ads in newspapers around the country? If not this is one way we could go.

The media can justify not covering this story but they'll feel much more comfortable covering the creative way we're trying to get our voices heard.

We're donating to Washington and Alaska and San Diego... this may be the only way to donate to the National cause.

18. Anybody have an idea?
I think the best way to hit CNN for this kind of thing is to embarrass them. Don't go to CNN. Stop wasting your breath. If we get the word out there that they are making mistakes, not checking facts, etc we embarrass them enough, they will knock it off. It would be especially effective if we could get this news out on other stations, yeah, yeah, I know, but even written news...or hell, the INTERNET. Let's cause a "Buzz" about CNN mistakes. Anybody have an idea?

19. All agree in ONE SINGLE GENERIC E-MAIL
Then send it to CNN.

They removed a portion of their website that was bashing Dan Rather, when some friends and I emailed them a bulk of messages taking them to task for it.

20. I emailed CNN/H.News this morning complaining 'why no coverage' of...
Ohio march this weekend, and U.S. Election Fraud issue. Although I thought I watched Headline News earlier in the day and saw nothing... at about 7:35 p.m.(P.S.T.) I saw Kerry's face smiling on screen, and on turning the volume up, found they were doing (what I thought to be) a fairly positive (for CNN) piece on the Election Fraud issue, and the Ohio activities, and Kerry.
The piece basically said that Jesse Jackson had been in Ohio all week speaking out about Election Fraud in Ohio. The news anchor VERY DISTINCTLY said there were MANY cases of irregularities STILL being examined. They next said that Jesse Jackson said that Kerry gave up too early. They then showed Kerry in New Hampshire (nice footage of him smiling and waving), and saying that he was there to speak to supporters, and that he'd donated money to Washington governor recount. Then they ended up the segment by saying that Kerry said that in the next few days he would be disclosing his 'upcoming SPECIFIC plans' in the Senate.

I watched the segment twice, and it really seemed positive for CNN/Headline news. Except for the comment re: his 'upcoming SPECIFIC plans' for the SENATE (which could be Kerry-code for as much as he could say for now)...I thought CNN/H.N. was ATTEMPTING to cover the story even-handed for once.

I think we need to keep emailing them, and not give up.
