Know your BFEE: Dead Men Tell No Tales
If Bush is so pro-life, why do so many people who look into the Bush Crime Family's affairs end up dead? I know, I know, its not covered in the pages or broadcasts of Corporate McPravda; Orwell didnt call it prole-feed for nothing.

Anyway, its a startling fact: Many who investigate the Bushes, oppose their politics, or work to uncover the dark activities of the Bush Family Evil Empire (BFEE), or more accurately the Bush Transnational Criminal Enterprise, end up fulfilling the old pirates slogan: Dead men tell no tales.

Hunter S. Thompson, first while talking on the phone with his wife and second as his son and grandson in another room, put a gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger.

It was reported the last thing he typed was the word Counselor.

The body of Mr. Thompsons work raged against the Establishment, in particular the corrupted conservative movement. For example, Thompson wrote that George W Bushs re-selection would mean the end of the world. No argument from me there.

Now I dont know what happened to Mr. Thompson, but his death is one of a series of suicides inflicting the scribe set:

I piss down the throat of these NAZIs.

Here are a few others who actually had the guts to investigate the Bush Family Evil Empire:

Gary Webb hurt the BFEEs feelings by tying the CIA's Iran-Contra gang to the crack cocaine epidemic in America's major metropolitan areas. To the Bush gang, telling the truth made Webb an enemy.

Daniel Danny Casolaro Researched BCCI and the Inslaw/PROMIS Affair, found that George HW Bush had ties going around the world and back through Iran-Contra, Iraq-gate, the October Surprise, Watergate, Vietnam, the Bay of Pigs and Dallas. A suicide.

Abbie Hoffman Yippie of the 60s turned into an investigative reporter in the 80s, researched and wrote about October Surprise allegations involving George HW Bush, Bill Casey and Robert Gates doing a deal with the Ayatollah Khomeini to delay the release of the USAs Iran embassy hostages in 1980. The pretty good overview appeared in Playboy in 1992. A suicide.

Steve Kangas Researcher and writer who started Liberal Resurgent web site dedicated to naming names like Richard Mellon Scaife and telling the truth about what was happening to America. Wrote the seminal The Origins of the Overclass which detailed the role of the CIA in preserving the privileged positions of the nations wealthiest individuals and corporations. A suicide.

Jim Hatfield Researcher and writer who penned Fortunate Son, an unauthorized biography of George W Bush that included allegations of cocaine use, planted by Karl Rove, who knew that Hatfield, an ex-con would be discredited. The last thing Hatfield wrote Why Would Osama Want to Kill His Ex-Business Partner? that detailed bin Laden threatening to crash a plane loaded with explosives into the G-8 summit in Genoa Italy in July 2001. Bush slept offshore aboard a US warship and the meeting was guarded by SAMs. A suicide.

Mark Lombardi Artist and researcher who developed Global Networks or Social Network Diagrams which illustrated and chronicled the relationships between many of our days shadiest characters, institutions and treasons. One of his works graphically charted Osama bin Laden, Sheik Salim bin Laden, James R Bath, Texas Gov George W Bush and HARKEN Energy. A suicide.

Cliff Baxter was the Number Two guy at ENRON. An Air Force Academy graduate, Baxter had told friends he was going to cooperate with investigators. Guess that wouldve really hurt Ken Lay, huh? Well, he wouldve really hurt someone else even more: George Walker Bush and George Herbert Walker Bush. After he passed out from an overdose, a suicide by gunshot.

There are many more examples of brave journalists, attorneys and individuals whove investigated the Octopus and turned up suicided. Lets never forget them, their work and what they found out about the fascistic BFEE. The futures of America, the World and We the People depend on it.

1. Why would Hunter's family insist that it was a suicide?
His son was in the house at the time it happened.

16. I agree with HST's family. And with him as far as the BFEE goes.
The circumstances make it look to me -- a guy over a thousand miles from HST's compound -- like a suicide.

At first I thought it would be a better post if I'd included his name at the bottom. However, no matter the circumstances of his death, Thompson stood up to the Bush Family Evil Empire. So, I let the post stand the way it is.

Regarding what drove him to shoot himself, there's a lot of speculation. The CIA's MK/ULTRA was one program to develop hypnotized-assassins. Some of the research could be applied to encourage suicide. Look at what the FBI did to Dr. Martin Luther King for a more coarse technique in encouraging suicide.

My point in this thread is that the Bush Gang follow the practices of the pirates and the NAZIs. One of them is killing off witnesses.

Please check out the other names in the post. Most of them were suicides who had no reason whatsoever for killing themselves. They did have in common one thing: Knowledge dangerous to the powers-that-be. In the world of the 21st century, they are called the Bush Transnational Criminal Enterprise -- and they've hijacked America.

98. You're right about this though
I don't know enough about the recent reporter but it is quite something. I wouldn't be surprised if Poppy Bush did have people killed to keep his hands cleans. I know Kerry did BCCI and Iran-Contra and I'm personally surprised he's still around myself. These people definietly are dangerous. :\

Sorry to be so dumb, though. Who is Cliff Curtis? And what happened to him and the investigator?

Dr. David Kelly's death should've brought down the British government. That it didn't shows how rich and powerful the Global War Party is.

27. The name is CLINT Curtis
The investigator was named Raymond Lemme.

From BradBlog:

"Curtis claims to have been asked by U.S. Congressman Tom Feeney (R-FL) to design a "vote-rigging software prototype". This request took place in October 2000...

"The original Inspector General assigned to the case, Raymond Lemme, had contacted Curtis in mid-June of 2003, after both Curtis and the other whistleblower on the case had been fired without cause both on the same day. (Eventually, both of them would win their whistleblower cases against FDOT on the matter.) Curtis says in his sworn affidavit that Lemme had advised him in mid-June that he would be very happy about his upcoming report and he should keep his ears open for it because, he told Curtis, "this goes all the way to the top."

Two weeks later, Lemme was found dead in a Valdosta, Georgia motel room."

The story is on Brad Blog. Here is some recent information on the reopening of the "suicide" investigation.

A summary of the story is here:

28. Thanks, troubleinwinter! Remember ATHAN GIBBS?
Thank you for remembering Mr. Curtis and Mr. Lemme and the story that goes to "the top."

Here's the story of Mr. Gibbs, an accountant who developed a paper-trail voting machine. Odd how the technology existed, but the secretaries of state, on the whole, did zero to ensure that each vote not only registered, but could be verified.

Mr. Gibbs lost his life in an automobile accident:

Black Box Voting

Death of a patriot

By Bob Fitrakis
Senior Editor, The Free Press

March 19, 2004The subject line on Tuesdays email read: Another mysterious accident solves a Bush problem. Athan Gibbs dead, Diebold lives. The attached news story briefly described the untimely Friday, March 12, death of perhaps Americas most influential advocate of a verified voting paper trail in the era of touch screen computer voting.

Gibbs, an accountant for more than 30 years and the inventor of the TruVote system, died when his vehicle collided with an 18-wheeled truck which rolled his Chevy Blazer several times and forced it over the highway retaining wall where it came to rest on its roof.

Coincidence theorists will simply dismiss the death of Gibbs as a tragic accident..

Gibbs death bears heightened scrutiny because of the way he lived his life after the 2000 Florida election debacle. I interviewed Athan Gibbs in January of this year. Ive been an accountant, an auditor, for more than 30 years. Electronic voting machines that dont supply a paper trail go against every principle of accounting and auditing thats being taught in American business schools, he insisted.

These machines are set up to provide paper trails. No business in America would buy a machine that didnt provide a paper trail to audit and verify its transaction. Now, they want the people to purchase machines that you cant audit? Its absurd.

20. I'd feel safer in my own country if more people knew the Truth.
The NAZIs were not defeated in World War II. Thanks to Allen Dulles, Averell Harriman and Prescott Bush, they found their way to America and now call themselves "conservatives."

Russ Bellant of Politcal Research Associates pegged the turds pretty fairly. An overview:

A Fresh Look

by Carla Binion

Nazis and the Republican Party

Investigative reporter Christopher Simpson says in BLOWBACK that after World War II, Nazi migrs were given CIA subsidies to build a far-right-wing power base in the U.S. These Nazis assumed prominent positions in the Republican Party's "ethnic outreach committees." Simpson documents the fact that these Nazis did not come to America as individuals but as part of organized groups with fascist political agendas. The Nazi agenda did not die along with Adolf Hitler. It moved to America (or a part of it did) and joined the far right of the Republican Party.

Simpson shows how the State Department and the CIA put high-ranking Nazis on the intelligence payroll "for their expertise in propaganda and psychological warfare," among other purposes. The most important Nazi employed by the U.S. was Reinhard Gehlen, Hitler's most senior eastern front military intelligence officer. After Germany's defeat became certain, Gehlen offered the U.S. certain concessions in exchange for his own protection. Gehlen promoted hyped up cold war propaganda on behalf of the political right in this country, and helped shape U.S. perceptions of the cold war.

Journalist Russ Bellant (OLD NAZIS, THE NEW RIGHT, AND THE REPUBLICAN PARTY) shows that Laszlo Pasztor, a convicted Nazi war collaborator, built the Republican migr network. Pasztor, who served as adviser to Republican Paul Weyrich, belonged to the Hungarian Arrow Cross, a group that helped liquidate Hungary's Jews. Pasztor was founding chairman of the Republican Heritage Groups Council.

Two months before the November 1988 presidential election, a small newspaper, Washington Jewish Week, disclosed that a coalition for the Bush campaign included a number of outspoken Nazis and anti-Semites. The article prompted six leaders of Bush's coalition to resign.

21. Well-phrased!
Here's something from 13 years ago by a darn good reporter:

Bush Family Value$

The Bush clan's family business

September/October 1992

My Three Sons

In 1991, President Bush bristled at a flurry of news accounts that questioned the business ethics of three of his sons. "The media ought to be ashamed of itself for what they're doing," Bush complained. "They have a right to make a living, and their relationships are appropriate," added a White House spokeswoman in June 1992.

Since George Bush has raised "family values" as a campaign issue repeatedly, though, it seems only fair to take a look at his own family. A computer search showed that over the past five years stories have periodically surfaced chronicling the individual business antics of the president's sons -- each riding comfortably through life in the slipstream of his father's growing power and influence.

Although a handful of good reporters for the New York Times, LA Times, Village Voice, and Wall Street Journal have diligently been digging through business records for months, something has been missing: an overview that "connects the dots" in the myriad deals that have been examined, making it clear that cashing in on influence has become a pattern of behavior extending through the first family.

Instead of criticizing reporters, the president might more wisely begin listening to those in government who have watched his sons with mounting worry. A year ago, I sat across a desk from a Secret Service agent who had been assigned to Bush-family security. I rattled off the names of a half-dozen questionable characters who had found their way into business deals with the Bush boys. How had these characters been allowed to get even close to the president's sons?

The agent slumped back in his chair and sighed. "We warn them," he said in a whisper. "But that's all we can do. We can't stop these kids from associating with someone they want to be with. All we can do after warning them is to sweep these guys with metal detectors when they come around."

26. Sen. Ted Kennedy was supposed to have been aboard the flight.
Of course, losing two liberals in one plane crash would be a real coincidence. Odd how hard it is to find articles about that aspect of the story these days... Here's CNN's reportage. Please note how the weather was so bad even the NTSB people couldn't fly into Eleveth.

Senator, family members killed in Minnesota plane crash

Sunday, December 29, 2002 Posted: 4:54 PM EST (2154 GMT)

EVELETH, Minnesota (CNN) -- Democratic Sen. Paul Wellstone, his wife Sheila and daughter Marcia died Friday in a small plane crash near Eveleth, Minnesota, that also killed three staff members and two pilots.

The plane went down in snowy, frozen rain and then burst into flames in a wooded area about 7 miles east of Eveleth-Virginia Municipal Airport. Officials said the last contact with the plane was at 10:20 a.m. CDT when the plane was about 2 miles from the airport.

The weather in the Eveleth area was so bad hours after the crash that a 12-person National Transportation Safety Board team was to fly from Washington into Duluth instead of Eveleth.

Gee. That's what turd Wolf Blitzer said from the studio, correcting the CNN reporter on the scene who said the weather was OK and that other planes reported no weather problems.

Someone who was aboard, played a role in 9-11. Michael Guess, the late co-pilot, had been a flight instructor at the Minneapolis flight school made famous by Zaccarias Moussaoui. The so-called "Twentieth Hijacker" is alleged to have downloaded Boeing 747 data from the co-pilot's CD-ROMs. Of course, the FBI didn't want to have anything to do with actually using the FISA provisions in the case BEFORE 9-11. But, hey! What are suicides, accidents and sudden illness for?

Co-pilot played minor role in story of Moussaoui

Associated Press, 26 October 2002

MINNEAPOLIS - The co-pilot who died in the crash of Sen. Paul Wellstone's plane played a minor role in the case of Zacarias Moussaoui, the alleged Sept. 11 conspirator who briefly attended an Eagan flight school.

Co-pilot Michael Guess had performed administrative work at the Pan Am International Flight Academy last year as he continued accumulating flying hours. There he met Moussaoui, the school's most infamous student.

Two former Pan Am program managers who tipped the FBI to Moussaoui's suspicious behavior at the school in August 2001 told the Star Tribune that Guess inadvertently gave Moussaoui unattended access to a computer program on flying a 747 jumbo jet.

One of the ex-managers said Guess placed a CD-ROM containing the 747 software at a work station in advance of one of Moussaoui's training sessions, before his flight instructor arrived. After Moussaoui was arrested and the FBI searched his belongings, they found the proprietary program copied on his laptop computer, the ex-manager said.

Flight School Warned F.B.I. of Suspicions

The New York Times
December 22, 2001

WASHINGTON, Dec. 21 An instructor at a Minnesota flight school warned the F.B.I. in August of his suspicion that a student who was later identified as a part of Osama bin Laden's terror network might be planning to use a commercial plane loaded with fuel as a weapon, a member of Congress and other officials said today.

The officials, who were briefed by the school, said the instructor warned the Federal Bureau of Investigation in urgent tones about the terrorist threat posed by the student, Zacarias Moussaoui. Mr. Moussaoui, a French citizen of Morrocan descent, was indicted last week on charges of conspiring in the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

Representative James L. Oberstar of Minnesota, who received the briefing and is the ranking Democrat on the House Transportation Committee, said the instructor called the bureau several times to find someone in authority who seemed willing to act on the information.

Mr. Oberstar said the instructor's warnings could not have been more blunt. The representative said, "He told them, `Do you realize that a 747 loaded with fuel can be used as a bomb?' "

Did the Right-Wing or CIA or Someone Close
to Bush Tamper with Sen. Wellstones plane?

by Jackson Thoreau October 25, 2002

My first hunch about Sen. Paul Wellstone's tragic plane crash less than two weeks before this pivotal election is that the plane was tampered with by right-wingers, possibly the CIA, either directly or through some psychic mind games.
I'm not a big conspiracy nut who worries about this kind of thing all the time - just an average one like Oliver Stone who knows there's something sinister and weird going on in our world - but I have done extensive research into the 1963 JFK assassination in Dallas. The right-wing-CIA was heavily involved in that, from Oswald's CIA connections to the Dallas mayor at that time being the brother of the former CIA deputy director who lost his job after the Bay of Pigs fiasco and blamed that on JFK. The Dallas mayor also changed the parade route on that fateful day so it would go right by the grassy knoll and triple overpass, where JFK met his death.

I have interviewed numerous people who report weird things that occurred during that time, such as key witnesses dying in strange ways like mysterious plane crashes and being run over by trains in the middle of the night. I have written numerous stories on this and covered it in my book on Dallas history - and have received my share of threatening phone calls, mail opened, and the like to know I was stepping on some powerful toes. But I know how to mentally protect myself - two can play at that game. I continue to pursue the truth.

There were also numerous JFK murder witnesses committing suicide in the months after that tragedy. The CIA has done extensive mind control work for decades - I know several psychics personally who have worked for the CIA - and could possibly convince someone through such mind games to commit suicide. Could they psychically work on making a plane crash? Who knows. Anything is possible.

Bush, for his part, issued some strange comments immediately after the crash, even for him. He called Wellstone - who was an articulate, energetic, intelligent political science professor for 21 years before he was a senator - a "plain-spoken fellow." He said he wanted to issue his "condolences for the loss of the Senate." Did he mean the Democrats' sudden loss of the Senate? Did he know something more than he let on?

I was about three miles from the crash site when it happened -- the temperature was in the upper 30's with a slight on-an-off drizzle. There was no snow or freezing rain that day -- none.

103. Speaking of plane crashes, and JFK...
Has anyone ever questioned the "timing" of JFK, Jr.'s plane crash during the timeframe in which the vacant New York Senate seat was being sized-up by various contenders. (John's best friend later admitted in an interview that at the time of John's death, he was putting out "feelers" about various "open" political seats.) Since John was a long-time native New Yorker, he was a natural for the post. Literally days after his death, Hillary Clinton surprisingly stepped forward and said she'd be running. I remember thinking at the time how easily she "won" that position without a real contender (such as John would've been).

Has anyone looked into this? John was certainly a rising star in the Dem party. And with his political mag launched, clearly had sights on "running" in some capacity in the very near future.

42. Interesting word, "Counselor."
Here's an interview with one of the DEA agents on record as stating that the US Government -- CIA -- turned its back on drug dealing. The late Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Gary Webb was ruined for daring mention that "associates" of Iran-Contra CIA contacts were involved. Please see Post 41 for details.

Back to "Counselor"...

DEA Agent Michael Levine

by Linda Davis Kyle

Michael Levine is one of the most celebrated drug enforcement agents in the history of the Drug Enforcement Administration. During his 25-year career Levine arrested more than 3,000 criminals and confiscated millions of dollars worth of drugs. His training included that from the Bureau of Alcohol, Drugs and Firearms, U.S. Customs, Drug Enforcement Administration. He served as a special agent for the Organized Crime Division of the IRS and BATF; as the assistant group supervisor of the FBI/DEA task force; inspector of DEA field operations wordwide; and special operation officer to South America.

Levine knows personally the devastation that drugs can cause. He lost his brother, David, who ended his 19-year addiction to heroin with a suicide note that read, Im sorry. I just cant stand the drugs anymore. Levine also lost his best friend: his only son who never used drugs to the villainy of narcotics. On December 28, 1991, off-duty New York Police Sgt. Keith Richard Levine, 27, was murdered by a crack addict attempting robbery who had a lengthy arrest record including two previous homicide convictions.

PC: How can counselors redefine societys concept of narcotic addicts?

ML: They can disclose that the majority of homicides in this nation are fueled directly by druggies who pay from $50 to $100 billion a year directly to the massive death machine known as the drug economy.

30. Robert A. Heinlein: "Secrecy is the beginning of tyranny."
IIRC, Katherine Graham was addressing a CIA gathering when she said: "We live in a dirty and dangerous world. There are some things the general public does not need to know, and shouldn't. I believe democracy flourishes when the government can take legitimate steps to keep its secrets and when the press can decide whether to print what it knows."

Secrets lLike what, Kate? Treason? CIA and JFK?

Here's what an honorable Supreme Court Associate Justice Hugo L. Black said about the Press, the only business mentioned by name in the US Constitution: "The Press was protected so that it could bare the secrets of the government and inform the people. Only a free and unrestrained press can effectively expose deception in government. And paramount among the responsibilities of a free press is the duty to prevent any part of the government from deceiving the people."

So the ultra-wealthy conservatives bought as many media companies as they could find and consolidated control when Pruneface Reagan tossed out the Fairness Doctrine. Sweet. For the NAZIs.

Bomb inventor says U.S. defenses suffer because of politics

LOS ANGELES - For most of Sam Cohen's life, he has struggled against politicians who, in his opinion, have sacrificed good sense when it comes to the nation's defenses. Cohen is the physicist who invented the neutron bomb, the one that kills people but leaves things like tanks and buildings intact. Plans to deploy his creations in Europe during the '70s and '80s awakened the "peace movement" across that continent, stopping its deployment.

With that and other battles lost, the 76-year-old Cohen finds solace in his Brentwood home, nestled high on a hill overlooking Los Angeles. There the world is far more peaceful, or so it seems. Just down the road is the Rockingham estate of one O.J. Simpson. Cohen would pass there often during his morning walks, and occasionally see the former football star. "He was always pleasant," Cohen recounted.

Cohen would probably be unfazed if confronted by a knife-wielding mugger - a threat insignificant in the scheme of things. What worries him are weapons of mass destruction - nuclear ones that destroy whole cities.

The politicians tell us that our security has never been better. Cohen describes the present situation as "scary, more scary than ever before." He's concerned that the Clinton administration has decided it is politically incorrect to even think about the design and development of nuclear weapons. The head of the division of the Livermore National Laboratories in charge of such weapon development has threatened to resign if he is ordered to develop new weapons, Cohen noted in a recent interview.

The government doesn't want people to even think about nuclear weapons, which is like telling Sam Cohen he is no longer permitted to breathe.

49. Two-thirds of world's resources 'used up'
Gee. There's a method to their madness of wanting to get rid of two-thirds of the world's people.

Two-thirds of world's resources 'used up'

Tim Radford, science editor
Wednesday March 30, 2005
The Guardian

The human race is living beyond its means. A report backed by 1,360 scientists from 95 countries - some of them world leaders in their fields - today warns that the almost two-thirds of the natural machinery that supports life on Earth is being degraded by human pressure.

The study contains what its authors call "a stark warning" for the entire world. The wetlands, forests, savannahs, estuaries, coastal fisheries and other habitats that recycle air, water and nutrients for all living creatures are being irretrievably damaged. In effect, one species is now a hazard to the other 10 million or so on the planet, and to itself.

"Human activity is putting such a strain on the natural functions of Earth that the ability of the planet's ecosystems to sustain future generations can no longer be taken for granted," it says.

The report, prepared in Washington under the supervision of a board chaired by Robert Watson, the British-born chief scientist at the World Bank and a former scientific adviser to the White House, will be launched today at the Royal Society in London. It warns that:

Because of human demand for food, fresh water, timber, fibre and fuel, more land has been claimed for agriculture in the last 60 years than in the 18th and 19th centuries combined.

An estimated 24% of the Earth's land surface is now cultivated.

Water withdrawals from lakes and rivers has doubled in the last 40 years. Humans now use between 40% and 50% of all available freshwater running off the land.

At least a quarter of all fish stocks are overharvested. In some areas, the catch is now less than a hundredth of that before industrial fishing.

Since 1980, about 35% of mangroves have been lost, 20% of the world's coral reefs have been destroyed and another 20% badly degraded.

Deforestation and other changes could increase the risks of malaria and cholera, and open the way for new and so far unknown disease to emerge.

Your BFEE at work.

Who's deluded? These "Club for Growth" or whatever it is types think environmental degradation and resource depletion is just a bunch of hooey. Wow. Call me a conspiracy buff or crazy. I don't care which.

PS: I know you wouldn't, oasis! You give a damn.

33. That may be the plan.
A series of strategically placed big ka-booms using the latest high-rad, low-collateral damage bombs and the "problem" of too many human beings is solved once and for all. Just like the Reich dreamed: No more resource-consuming pesky third-worlders to worry about, no more socialistic Yoorupeaons and no more Liberals. Voila.

It really appear to be the most likely explanation for the BFEE's behavior. They haven't done a single thing to benefit the nation's people as a whole. All they've done is to make life better for the super-rich and make war on all who oppose them and their evil plans.

These turds have so much wealth -- made through ripping off the US Treasury, the nation's consumers and plundered from humanity through war and ruin -- they can afford to build the best in bomb shelters. Once the radiation is deemed safe, Smirk, Sneer, Moon and the rest of the BFEE can crawl up from their hide-outs and re-populate the world with their brethren, the cockroaches.

among world microbiologists and disease specialists including a candidate for Surgeon General replaced by a Special Forces biological warfare Arizona SWAT team kinda guy.

13. Oh,
It's all just coincidence, don't ya know - the mysterious deaths of multiple scientists, all working in one particular field of expertise, and the "suicides" of anybody in a high place who dares question Bushco, couldn't possibly have anything to do with a sinister agenda. Too fucking bad I don't believe in "coincidence".

45. Anthrax investigation still active. Why no mention of White House Cipro?
Strange that the White House volk were prescribed the antibiotic Cipro on 9-11, before the Anthrax attacks. Not that there's anything wrong with preventive medicine. Treason's another matter.

Anthrax investigation still active

FBI has not solved 2001 postal attacks.

Published Saturday, March 19, 2005

WASHINGTON (AP) - The anthrax false alarm this week served as a reminder that federal authorities still havent caught whoever was responsible for the all-too-real attacks in 2001 that left five people dead.

No arrests have been made, and no charges filed in the case the FBI has dubbed Amerithrax. Attorneys and scientists who have followed the investigation - and at times been touched by it - say they see no evidence of recent activity.

Debra Weierman, spokeswoman for the FBIs Washington field office, disputed that. She said 30 FBI agents and 15 postal inspectors are assigned to the anthrax investigation, and more than 5,000 grand jury subpoenas have been issued.

"The investigation remains intensely active," Weierman said.

Steven Hatfill, the one person identified by former Attorney General John Ashcroft as a "person of interest" in the case, has filed suit against Ashcroft and the government, asserting they ruined his reputation. Hatfill has repeatedly said he had nothing to do with the anthrax-tainted letters that scared a jittery nation a month after the Sept. 11 attacks.

White House Mail Machine Has Anthrax

By Sandra Sobieraj
Associated Press Writer
Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001; 8:11 p.m. EDT

WASHINGTON President Bush said confidently Tuesday that "I don't have anthrax" after biohazard testing at the White House and the discovery of anthrax on a mail-opening machine at a screening facility six miles away.

All White House mail more than 40,000 letters a week is examined at military facilities across the Potomac River.

"Let me put it this way," Bush said. "I'm confident that when I come to work tomorrow, I'll be safe."

Asked if he was tested for the germ that has killed three people already this month, or if he was taking precautionary antibiotics, Bush replied simply: "I don't have anthrax."

At least some White House personnel were given Cipro six weeks ago. White House officials won't discuss who might be receiving the anthrax-treating antibiotic now.

Speaking of treason, what's up with the Secret Team biowarfare fart from Phoenix?

48. It gets really interesting when you examine who was promoting Cipro use
immediately after 9/11 but well before any hint that there was an anthrax (specifically anthrax-that's what Cipro is for) or any other biological threat.

The mainmen on this were HHS Sect. Tommy Thompson and the fellow he had just hired from SAIC (on 9-10-2001!) JEROME HAUER.

Last I heard, Mr. Hauer was in charge of public bio-defense efforts.

At a minimum 9/11 was LIHOP. Why no arrests in the ANTHRAX attacks against media and Democrats that also killed and harmed a lot of innocent US Postal Service employees?????

Tommy Thompson stood around boasting of his negotiating skills with the former I.G. Farben company, BAYER, for 300 million doses of Cipro while US Postal Service employees were working in anthrax HOT ZONE's.

I'm just getting started about this as I live in Wisconsin and suffered under Tommy Thompson for many years. One of his real pals is Charles Murray, the American eugenicist that co-authored "The Bell Curve" and was hired by Tommy Thompson to help draft the Wisconsin Works/W2 welfare reform bill that has since been adopted as the Federal model for welfare reform.

These bastards cannot keep getting away with murder, they have names.
Keep naming them brother!

52. Jerome M. Hauer in August 2001 arranged a new job for John O'Neill
Edited on Fri Apr-01-05 11:38 AM by seemslikeadream

Jerome M. Hauer
Assistant Vice President, Science Applications International Corporation
Associate Director, Center for Counterterrorism Technology & Analysis

Jerome M. Hauer, one of the nation's leading experts on biological and chemical terrorism, recently left his post as Director of New York City's Office of Emergency Management (OEM) to join Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). Hauer, who served four years as the City's first OEM Director, will be SAIC's Assistant Vice President and Associate Director of Center for Counterterrorism Technology and Analysis.

During his tenure at OEM, Hauer was charged by the Mayor with coordinating the City's on-scene response to multi-agency emergencies. He was also given the responsibility of drafting the City's emergency response plans to natural and man-made events, including hurricanes and coastal flooding, as well as biological or chemical attacks.

Hauer has a Masters degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and over 20 years of experience in emergency management. He was recently selected to be one of six scientists to brief President Clinton on biological terrorism and has been asked by the World Health Organization to co-author a rewrite of its 1970 monograph on chemical and biological weapons. Hauer consults regularly with Scotland Yard and the Israeli military, and worked extensively with the Australian Government in its preparations for the 2000 Summer Olympics.

Hauer has served on the National Academy of Sciences Institute of Medicine's Committee to Evaluate R&D Needs for Improved Civilian Medical Response to Chemical or Biological Terrorism Incidents, and is an advisor the United States Capitol Police and the United States Marine Corps' Chemical-Biological Incident Response Force (C-BIRF). Hauer is also a member of the Johns Hopkins Working Group on Civilian Bio Defense, and is an advisor to the Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs.

The former director of New Yorks Office of Emergency Management on whats being done at Ground ZeroNewsweek Web ExclusiveSept. 14 - Following the 1993 terrorist attack at the World Trade Center, Jerome M. Hauer was named the first-ever director and commissioner of the Mayors Office of Emergency Management (OEM) for the City of New York. The office was designated as the center that would coordinate all agencies in times of crisis, and create its systems and protocols.

THE OEM DIRECTS the citys overall emergency-response planning, as well as specialized planning for response to chemical, biological and nuclear-related incidents. Hauer also directed the design and implementation of New York Citys state-of-the-art Emergency Operations Center situated on the 23rd floor of 7 World Trade Center, a bunker that went unused in the Tuesdays explosions because of its proximity to the disaster (WTC 7 collapsed later that day).

Terror: Who is Jerome "Jerry" Hauer?

Jerome Hauer, Human Health Institute, is the man who put John O'Neill at the WTC and tipped the White House off to Cipro.
Very interesting stuff.....

"Very few cities at this point in time are prepared to manage the consequences of bio-terrorist attack."
Jerry Hauer in an interview with Eyewitness News, October 1, 2001

In May 2002, Jerome Hauer became director of the federal Office of Public Health Preparedness (OPHP), succeeding Dr. D. A. Henderson from Johns Hopkins Institute.

Why is Jerome Hauer not making national news yet?

He's becoming famous on the Internet. Not only for Republicans, who appreciate his long fight against bioterrorism, which he started three to four years ago.

Hauer is also controversial among those who are able to connect the dots between his person and shady business deals in biopharmacy since 1998.

More interesting, he seems to have had prior knowledge about both so called terrorist-attacks: September 11th and Anthrax.

But many private investigators claim since months, he let the attacks happen on purpose to continue his career.

Is Hauer LIHOP suspect No.1?

He started to work for the NIH under Tommy Thompson on September 10, 2001 as an adviser on national security. On September 11th, he told the White House to take Cipro, the antibiotic that works against the anthrax virus, without bothering to reveal his warning to the American nation.

The watchdog group JudicialWatch decided to file a lawsuit against the NIH, but also against the FBI, CDC and the White House, for the same reason: Prior Knowledge.

It is not known how long Hauer worked at the NIH before Sept. 11, but we can confirm that he was working on Sept. 10.

But things get really interesting when we consider that Jerome Hauer was also the man who in August 2001 arranged a new job for John O'Neill - the resigning chief of the FBI Terror Task Force - as head of security at the World Trade Center.

How did Hauer know that the Twin Towers would be so important?

We would like to ask John O' Neill, but there is one problem: O'Neill died in the towers on September 11th, one day after he started his job officially, according to the New Yorker.

Disturbingly, O'Neill has never been received the same hero status in the mass media as has been accorded to the fallen New York firefighters and police officers. His death has gone without the same fanfare. For 11 months his story went untold, with two big exceptions.

The two French intelligence specialists Brisard and Dasquie (see: ) published an interview with O'Neill taken before his death in their book, "Bin Laden: The Forbidden Truth." And articles on O'Neill were also published in the New Yorker and New York Magazine. Last week, TIME magazine also tried to remember him, but left out the most important angles.

This should change immediately.

There is obviously a lot which has been hidden from us, but for what reason?

This might have something to do with the FBI HQ (O'Neill complained about them), but also with Jerome Hauer - who is a friend of the current prime anthrax suspect, Stephen Hatfill, who was working for the military anthrax program USAMRIID at Fort Detrick and Battelle, a huge pharmacy company with many ties to the CIA.

Hauer and Hatfill worked together at the SAIC's Center for Counterterrorism Technology and Analysis in 1999. The SAIC (Scientific Applications International Corp) later received also a huge BioDefense budget in autumn 2001. - (Hauer) - (Hatfill)

But first, more about Hauer:

In 1983, Hauer joined IBM where he was responsible for the company's Hazardous Materials Response and Crisis Management and Fire Safety programs. Hauer produced a series of hazardous materials training videos that earned him the International Film andTV Critics of New York Bronze award in 1986.

In the early 1990s, Hauer got his first contacts to military and biodefense.

Hauer received a master's degree in emergency medical services from the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health. Then he became member of the Johns Hopkins Working Group on Civilian Bio Defense, where he wrote various articles about a possible bioterrorist attack.

In 1998, he started working at the OEM (Office for Emergency Management) in New York.

In the same year, Hauer and anthrax suspect Hatfill both supported the CFR as experts in their respective fields. The CFR is an acronym for Council on Foreign Relations, one of the most important think-tanks advising the US government, as well as many other governments abroad.

CFR members include the Pentagon's top advisers, Richard Perle, Henry Kissinger, Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz, ex-CIA chief James Woolsey, biosciences specialist Joshua Lederberg, and many others.

On May 28, 1998, Hatfill and Hauer spoke together at the same CFR meeting about "Building a 'Biobomb': Terrorist Challenge"!102

Hatfill was at that time also Senior Research Associate at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases (=USAMRIID)

Hauer seems to specialize in the art of holding down several different jobs at the same time. While he started to work for the NIH in September 2001, he remained a Managing Director at Kroll Associates - the official security and bodyguard company for all American presidents since World War II!

With Hauer's many sources of insider information (e.g. Kroll/President bodyguards) , it makes sense that he also knew about the CIA briefing for George Bush on August 6, 2001, about warnings of an imminent terrorist "attack with planes."

Hauer is still trying to save the world.

On November 6th, 2001 he participated in the "Independent Task Force on America's Response to Terrorism" at the CFR. Participants there included James J. Zogby (President of the Arab American Institute and Central Asian Enterprise Fund), Newton L. Gingrich (Chief Executive Officer, The Gingrich Group), Harold Brown (former secretary of defense and counselor at CSIS: the Center for Strategic and International Studies), Henry A. Kissinger (Senior Fellow in National Security and European Affairs), Richard C. Holbrooke (Counselor, CFR and Vice Chairman of Perseus, LLC) and Philip A. Odeen (Executive Vice President, Washington Operations of TRW, Inc. and CEO of Reynolds + Reynolds, Dayton).

Their agenda, eight weeks after the attack of Sept. 11, was strange indeed:

53. THAT John O'Neill? Wonder what else the FBI hasn't fessed up about...
A letter to The New York Times:

March 30, 2005

F.B.I. Papers and 9/11

To the Editor:

Re "New Details on F.B.I. Aid for Saudis After 9/11" (news article, March 27):

I think it's worth adding that the newly released F.B.I. documents flatly contradict repeated assertions by both the White House and the F.B.I. that the Bush administration played no role in the evacuation of the members of the royal House of Saud in the days immediately after 9/11.

As the author of "House of Bush, House of Saud" and the Vanity Fair article about the Saudi flights that triggered the F.B.I. investigation, I was told by the F.B.I. spokesman, John Iannarelli, "I can say unequivocally that the F.B.I. had no role in facilitating these flights one way or another."

White House officials declined to comment on the record, but privately one told me that he had made repeated inquiries and was "confident" that no such flights had taken place.

However, these new documents show conclusively that the flights not only took place, but also, in the F.B.I.'s own words, that people on them may have been "involved in or had knowledge of the 9/11/2001 attacks." In that context, it is especially disturbing to know that the White House had access to all this information and chose to conceal it.

68. Rudi Dekkers the Magic Dutch Boy and Adnan Khashoggi

"The boys in Florsheim shoes just didn't care"

Tiller was close enough to the operation to see something wasnt right. To his credit, he immediately acted on his suspicions...

When 911 happened and I saw those guys pics on TV, I immediately called my lawyer and he contacted the FBI, he said.

But nobody ever came to see me, never heard from them. We were trying to get them to dig in and find out who Rudi and Wally really were, but they would have none of it. It was a cover-up like I never seen... A guy who gets a speeding ticket gets more scrutiny than they had.

"As big of a mess this whole 9.11 thing was, you would think that the state sept, the CIA, every solid law enforcement agency would be all over Rudi defers and Wally Hilliard, and here they out there just flaunting it, like they could care less."

Yeslam bin laden was sending pilots to Huffman Aviation, we told him. How might that have come about?

His immediate response: "It would have to be through Rudi Dekkers."

79. Hopsicker--what do people here think about him as a journo?
I've visited his site often and have read the freebie stuff and he seems pretty legit, almost a less-known Greg Palast type of guy. Yet I'm afraid he'll turn out to be a right wing paranoid rather than a left wing paranoid (my preferred flavor of paranoia). Anyone got a fix on Hopsicker?

I respect your opinion seemslikeadream--you're quoting him, and I've read other things you've written that include Hopsicker's info, so you must see him as a credible source.

Anybody else got an opinion on the matter?

Is someone trying to kill the Magic Dutch Boys?

Ft Myers,, FL.January 24, 2003
by Daniel Hopsicker

Rudi Dekkers ditched his helicopter into the Caloosahatchee River in Fort Myers, FL. this morning, suffering only minor injuries.

Dekkers, who runs one of the twin 'terror flight schools' in Venice, FL. which trained three of the four pilots of the hijacked jets, was retrieved from the shallow water by a television news chopper flying in the vicinity, and ferried back to dry land.

"My engines quit above the river and I knew I had 28 gallons of fuel left, so it had to be something else," Dekkers explained to reporters.

"I really thought that this was the end."

Predictably, nothing is simple when it comes to the smooth-talking Dutch national, whose Huffman Aviation was a magnet for Mohamed Atta and his Hamburg cadre.

Friend of Attah's, eh? Wouldn't want him to do anything untoward like, uh, testify, would we?

56. Ideology subverting Science in US Department of Health and Human Services
Edited on Fri Apr-01-05 01:27 PM by seemslikeadream
Ideology subverting Science in US Department of Health and Human Services

21 October - Washington DC - 12 US Members of Congress express Concern over Ideology subverting Science in US Department of Health and Human Services
Twelve leading members of the US congress have written to Tommy Thompson, US Secretary of Health and Human Services (HSS) over what they perceive as ideology subverting scientific decision-making in the HSS. The members of Congress claim that over the past few months, a series of troubling reports have demonstrated that scientific information is being removed from government hosted websites and being replaced by faith-based information. In addition, they point to key nominations in the Food and Drug Administration as being based on the candidate's ideological beliefs and the use of financial audits to harass NGOs which do not adhere to the Administration's ideological point of view. They have requested precise clarification on all these points from the Secretary.

Tommy Thompson Stacks CDC For Lead Industry
Email 8oct02

For the first time ever, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Tommy Thompson, has overruled the nominations of the CDC staff for membership on the CDC Advisory Committee on Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention (ACCLPP). Instead, Secretary Thompson has named his own appointees, including several people with close lead industry connections. The rejected nominations include Dr. Michael Weitzman, Pediatrician in Chief at Rochester General Hospital; Dr. Bruce Lanphear, Sloan Professor of Children's Environmental Health at the University of Cincinnati; and Dr. Susan Klitzman, Associate Professor of Urban Public Health at Hunter College.

Historically the ACCLPP has provided science-based advice to inform CDC's policies to prevent lead poisoning and it has been instrumental in setting federal lead poisoning screening and prevention policies. The committee has always included subject-matter experts, researchers, and public health practitioners.

Secretary Thompson's appointees include several people who work directly for the lead industry. Dr. William Banner is a witness for the lead industry in the Rhode Island trial against lead paint manufacturers. In his deposition, he testified that blood lead levels between 70 and 100 do not pose a risk to children's health. Dr. Joyce Tsuji is a consultant whose corporate clients include ASARCO, DuPont, and King & Spaulding, a law firm representing several lead companies. She testified for industry in a class action lawsuit disputing the need for medical monitoring in the vicinity of a lead smelter. Dr. Kimberly Thompson is affiliated with the Harvard Center for Risk Analysis whose funders include 2 defendants in the Rhode Island case and 22 other companies that have released lead in the environment.

Rep. Edward Markey, Rep. Eddie Bernice-Johnson, and Rep. Waxman have written to Secretary Thompson opposing the unprecedented effort to stack the scientific advisory board with candidates with financial ties to the lead industry. Several scientists joined the Representatives in a news conference on October 8 to emphasize the importance of independent scientific advisors.

Model Emergency Health Powers Act (MEHPA) Turns Governors into Dictators

HHS Secretary Tommy Thompson is urging State legislatures to adopt the Model State Emergency Health Powers Act, prepared by the Center for Law and the Public's Health at Georgetown and Johns Hopkins Universities for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

This Act grants unprecedented and unchecked powers to the Governors of the 50 States. It can be downloaded from .

It is likely that HHS will tie passage of the Act to billions of dollars in federal funding: the usual method of bribery/coercion to get States to pass legislation that would otherwise never be considered.

Paul Weyrich of the Free Congress Foundation said: "Tommy Thompson, whom I have considered a friend for thirty years, should be ashamed of himself for advocating this kind of Big Brother legislation. This is not the Tommy Thompson we knew as a four-term governor of Wisconsin."

HHS is using the 9/11 emergency as a pretext to rush passage of an Act that has been in the works for more than a year. Its main author, Lawrence O. Gostin, was a member of Clinton's Task Force on Health Care Reform, whose secret documents were exposed to public view as a result of the AAPS lawsuit (AAPS et al v. Hillary Rodham Clinton et al.)

He was a member of Working Group 17, Bioethics, of Cluster V, The Ethical Foundations of the New System, and also a member of the informal group promoting Single Payer. It is odd that Tommy Thompson should be urging adoption of a plan originating with the most extremist left wing of Clinton's Health Care Task Force.

This legislation is a serious threat to our civil liberties. Indeed, "this law treats American citizens as if they were the enemy," stated George Annas, chairman of the Health Law Department at the Boston University School of Public Health (San Francisco Chronicle, 11/25/01). It must be exposed to the light of day in the next month and a half.

"If protests are sufficient and if conservative legislators in state legislatures are properly alerted, perhaps there is a chance to beat back this monster," Weyrich said

HHS Secretary "Tommy" Thompson Needs to Be Told to Spend More Time with His Family
Didn't see the cost estimate until Christmas? Could a Cabinet Secretary possibly be so incurious? Didn't even try to control what his subordinates were doing? Could a Cabinet Secretary possibly be so self-effacing? - White House Backs HHS Probe of Medicare-Bill Cost Estimate: ...the matter has taken on a new life because the administration projected in the budget it submitted to Congress last month that the 10-year cost of the bill would be $534 billion, instead of $395 billion estimate used in writing the legislation. Mr. Foster estimated in June that a version similar to what became law would cost $551 billion, according to a document subsequently obtained and released by House of Representatives Democrats.

"There seems to be a cloud over this department because of this. We have nothing to hide, so I want to make darn sure everything comes out," Mr. Thompson said.... Mr. Thompson said administration officials made clear that their financial assumptions about the legislation led to higher estimates. But he said he didn't see the final cost estimate until just before Christmas, a few weeks after President Bush signed the Medicare law.

Mr. Thompson said he never instructed Mr. Scully to prevent Mr. Foster from sharing his higher cost estimates with lawmakers, some of whom had said they wouldn't vote for legislation that cost more than $400 billion over 10 years.... The secretary placed much of the responsibility for the controversy on Mr. Scully, a voluble lawyer and former hospital trade-association executive known for his quick wit and sometimes impulsive comments. Mr. Thompson said he should have exercised more control over Mr. Scully. "But all of you know Tom Scully. Do you think that's possible?" Mr. Thompson said...

The Tommy Thompson Myth: Thompson as Moderate
Despite his promise to present a "compassionate conservative" administration, George W. Bush has appointed overwhelmingly right-wing ideologues to his cabinet, not the least of which is Tommy Thompson, now Secretary of Health and Human Services, formerly Governor of Wisconsin. The Department of Health and Human Services directly affects women's health and reproductive services.

Thompson has made his reputation within the Republican Party as a moderate, but a look at his activities while Governor of Wisconsin shows otherwise.

Tommy Thompson has a record of anti-choice, anti-women activity. In 1997, he signed a far-reaching Wisconsin law that declared that fetus was a human being from the time of conception, and described abortion as a procedure meant to "kill a child." Supposedly, this was a so-called "partial birth" abortion ban, but in reality it applied to all abortions in the state. Mandatory life imprisonment was the penalty that doctors risked for performing any abortion - even in the first trimester - and women were leaving the state to get abortions. The law ultimately was declared unconstitutional.

Additionally, Thompson signed legislation prohibiting insurance provided through the Private Employer Health Care Purchasing Alliance (a voluntary program for private employers) from covering abortion services with only very narrow exemptions. He has signed legislation both requiring a 24-hour waiting period and a provision that women receive in-person, biased counseling that referred to an "unborn child." He has opposed clinic safety "buffer zones" that require demonstrators to stay at least 15 feet away from women's clinic entrances.

As Secretary of HHS, Thompson has vowed to take a "second look" at and review the FDA-approved RU-486, hoping to get FDA approval rescinded. RU 486 is a medical abortion for early pregnancies which has been used in Europe for many years, and which succeeded in American clinical trials and was released last year, giving women a nonsurgical option for ending early pregnancies. It is part of right-wing, anti-choice rhetoric that RU 486 has "dangers" to women in it, a claim not borne out by recent American or European clinical trials. According to Senator Hillary Clinton, "the evidence of the efficacy and safety of RU 486 is convincing, and I would be very concerned if a decision were made on political grounds instead of on medical or scientific grounds." Thompson's bias against RU 486 is shaped by his long-standing anti-choice attitude, not his concern for women's safety

40. Thanks, oasis! Remember "INSLAW Promis"?
Prosecutor's Management System was INSLAW's program for tracking individual cases through the criminal justice system. The program was so effective Reagan's Justice Department stole it, modified it with special back-doors allowing surreptitious entry by the BFEE, and sold it around the world -- from Canada to Israel.

Greed being a conservative value, Justice didn't pay the inventors and the company felt ripped off. Even though they won every case in court, they lost on appeal to a judge appointed from the government's defense table -- I kid you not. Elliot Richardson (a good and honest Republican who didn't fire Nixon's special prosecutor Archibald Cox) represented the owners i the drawn-out legal battle and couldn't believe what happened.

Of course, the owners got off lucky. They only lost a fortune. Here are the names of many who lost their lives, including several innocent women and children.

Affiliated with the Cabazon Indian Reservation, Alfred Alvarez and two friends opposed the takeover of the reservation by Wakenhut Corporation. They were murdered in July 1981.

Paul Morasca was murdered in January 1982 in the San Francisco condominium he shared with Michael Riconsociuto...Private investigator Larry Guerrin, while seeking information for Riconosciuto relating to the Inslaw case, was found dead ...San Francisco attorney David Meyer, who was to appear the following day in District Court, to defend clients who were reportedly tied in which CIA drug trafficking activities, died from a gunshot wound on February 6, 1989. Meyer sought to expose links between the Justice Department, the CIA and Iran-Contra...On August 14, 1990, attorney Dexter Jacobson was found dead prior to a scheduled meeting with the FBI in regards to rampant Chapter 11 judicial corruption...Attorney Gary Ray Pinnell, was found dead on February 11, 1991, just before he, too, was to present Chapter 11 corruption to the FBI...The body of Alan D. Standorf was found on January 31, 1991, in the back seat of a car parked at the Washington National Airport. Casolaro had depended upon Standorf as a source and it is believed that Standorf, an electronic intelligence employee for the NSA, provided the reporter information that linked the Justice Department to the various scandals...In April 1991, attorney David Eisman was shot to death 24 hours before he was to meet with Riconosciuto. Involved with numerous CIA activities, Eisman had been scheduled to meet with a woman in Philadelphia who was to deliver important evidence of corruption by Justice Department officials...Alan May was found dead in his San Francisco home on June 19, 1991. May was reportedly involved with Riconosciuto in the Iranian hostage scandal and October Surprise. The local coroner's report stated death was due to a heart attack, but a subsequent autopsy revealed that May had poly-pharmaceuticals in his blood....In 1991, Tommy Burkett was found dead in the bedroom of his parent's Hendon, Virginia, home from a gunshot wound to the mouth...

On November 1, 1992, the bodies of Gail Spiro and her three children were found in their Rancho Santa Fe, California, home, dead from gunshot wounds to the head. Three days later the body of Gail's husband, Ian Spiro, was found dead in the front seat of his Ford Explorer in the remote California desert...On November 14, 1992, Jose Aguilar, a tree trimmer who occasionally worked at the Spiro home, was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head....Peter Sandvugen, found dead on December 2, 1992, was assisting Riconosciuto in his defense against the Justice Department. Sandvugen was a part of a special CIA team during the eighties, and as the gun he always carried was found without the ammo clip, the circumstances of his death raised questions...

Vali Delahanty disappeared on August 18, 1992. At the time of her disappearance, she had been trying to warn Michael Riconosciuto that the DEA and Justice Department officials were about to frame him on drug charges. On April 13, 1994, the skeletal remains of her body were discovered at Lake Bay, Washington.

41. In addition to CIA Inspector General, 3 DEA Agents Back Webb
Truly the bravest of the brave, the honest members of the DEA...

Gary Webb, 1955 - 2004

I CAN HEAR HECTOR BERRELLEZ TELLING ME that I will never find a smoking gun. I can hear the critics of Gary Webb explaining that all he has is circumstantial evidence. And I remember that American prisons are full of people put there by circumstantial evidence. Like anyone who dips into the world of the CIA, I find myself questioning the plain facts I read and asking myself, Does this really mean what I think it means?

* In 1982, the head of the CIA got a special exemption from the federal requirement to report dealings with drug traffickers. Why did the CIA need such an exemption?

* Courthouse documents attest to the fact that the Blandn drug organization moved tons of dope for years with impunity, shipped millions to be laundered in Florida, and then bought arms for the contras. Why are Gary Webb's detractors not looking at these documents and others instead of bashing Webb over the head?

* The internal CIA report of contra cocaine activity has never been released. The Justice Department investigation of Webb's charges has never been released. The CIA has released a censored report on only one volume of Webb's charges. The contra war is over, yet this material is kept secret. Why aren't the major newspapers filing Freedom of Information requests for these studies?

* The fifty-year history of CIA involvement with heroin traffickers and other drug connections is restricted to academic studies and fringe publications. Those journalists who find themselves covering the war on drugs should read Alfred McCoy's massive study, The Politics of Heroin: CIA Complicity in the Global Drug Trade, or Peter Dale Scott and Jonathan Marshall's Cocaine Politics: Drugs, Armies, and the CIA in Central America.

* Following the release of "Dark Alliance," Senator John Kerry told The Washington Post, "There is no question in my mind that people affiliated with, on the payroll of, and carrying the credentials of, the CIA were involved in drug trafficking while involved in support of the contras." Why has the massive Kerry report been ignored to this day?

* On March 16, 1998, the CIA inspector general, Frederick P. Hitz, testified before the House Intelligence Committee. "Let me be frank," he said. "There are instances where CIA did not, in an expeditious or consistent fashion, cut off relationships with individuals supporting the contra program who were alleged to have engaged in drug-trafficking activity, or take action to resolve the allegations."

Reprinted from the New Federalist

CELERINO "CELE" CASTILLO is a former Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Special Agent stationed in Central America during the 1980s. During his years in El Salvador and Guatemala, Castillo was an eye-witness to drug and arms trafficking operations supervised by the CIA on behalf of the FDN -- the Nicaraguan Contras. C-123 transports regularly flew into El Salvador's Ilopango Air Base; weapons from the U.S. were exchanged for vast quantities of cocaine, a cozy arrangement with profits for all.

TARPLEY: What did George Bush know, and when did he know it?

CASTILLO: Before my arrival in Guatemala, we had received intelligence that the Contras were heavily involved in narcotics trafficking. Basically, I was forewarned by the country attache' in Guatemala, Bob Stia, upon my arrival, that there was a covert operation being conducted by the White House, and run by Oliver North at Ilopango in El Salvador.

TARPLEY: So this was your official superior in the DEA?

CASTILLO: That's correct.

TARPLEY: And the first thing he did when you arrived in the country was to tell you: Look, this is now the scene of a covert operation with Oliver North, and they're running drugs.

CASTILLO: That's correct, and since we had obtained intelligence already about the Contras being heavily involved in narcotics trafficking, he advised me to stay away from it and not to get involved in the investigation, because that would mean that if I started reporting that information to Washington, I would be kicked out of El Salvador and Guatemala very quickly.

Is Anyone Apologizing to Gary Webb?

Gary Webb, just in case you've already forgotten him, was the journalist who, in a well researched, understated article entitled "The Dark Alliance," linked the CIA supported Contras to cocaine and weapons being sold to a California street gang and ended up literally being hounded out of journalism by every mainstream news peddling organization in the Yellow Pages. Even his own employer The San Jose Mercury piled on for the kill.

And guess what? The CIA finally admitted, yesterday, in the New York Times no less, that they, in fact, did "work with" the Nicaraguan Contras while they had information that they were involved in cocaine trafficking to the United States. An action known to us court qualified experts and federal agents as Conspiracy to Import and Distribute Cocainea federal felony punishable by up to life in prison. To illustrate how us regular walking around, non CIA types are treated when we violate this law, while I was serving as a DEA supervisor in New York City, I put two New York City police officers in a federal prison for Conspiracy to distribute Cocaine when they looked the other way at their friend's drug dealing. We could not prove they earned a nickel nor that they helped their friend in any way, they merely did not do their duty by reporting him. They were sentenced to 10 and 12 years respectively, and one of them, I was recently told, had committed suicide.

I have spent three decades as a court qualified expert and federal agent and am not aware of any class of American Citizen having special permission to violate the law that we have been taxed over $1 trillion in the past two decades to enforce; the law that every politician, bureaucrat and media pundit keeps telling us protects us against the most serious danger to American security in our history.

The interesting thing to me, about the Webb article is that the CIA is provably (and now admittedly) responsible for much larger scale drug trafficking than Webb alleged or even imagined in his report. In fact, according to a confidential DEA report entitled "Operation Hun, a Chronology" that I used as part of the proof to back up the undercover experiences detailed in my book The Big White Lie, (optioned for a movie by Robert Greenwald Productions) the CIA was actively blocking DEA from indicting many members of the ruling government of Bolivia, from, 1980-83during a time period that these same people were responsible for producing more than 90 percent of the cocaine consumed in the United States. As CIA Inspector General Hitz himself stated before congress, it was during this time period that Nicraguan Contra supporters were buying large amounts of cocaine from these same CIA protected Bolivians.

Do you think Congress wants to see this proof?

22. The Lie Factory
You bring up an excellent point, KlatooBNikto! The Bush Gang runs a tight ship -- loosely bound, but a tight ship. It's a war, they're running. Who the enemy is should be obvious to America, but it isn't.

The Lie Factory

This special Mother Jones investigation late last year detailed how, only weeks after 9/11, the Bush administration set up a secret Pentagon unit to create the case for invading Iraq. Here is the inside story of how they pushed disinformation and bogus intelligence and led the nation to war.

By Robert Dreyfuss and Jason Vest

Both Wolfowitz and Feith have deep roots in the neoconservative movement. One of the most influential Washington neo- conservatives in the foreign-policy establishment during the Republicans' wilderness years of the 1990s, Wolfowitz has long held that not taking Baghdad in 1991 was a grievous mistake. He and others now prominent in the administration said so repeatedly over the past decade in a slew of letters and policy papers from neoconservative groups like the Project for the New American Century and the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq. Feith, a former aide to Richard Perle at the Pentagon in the 1980s and an activist in far-right Zionist circles, held the view that there was no difference between U.S. and Israeli security policy and that the best way to secure both countries' future was to solve the Israeli-Palestinian problem not by serving as a broker, but with the United States as a force for "regime change" in the region.

Called in to help organize the Iraq war-planning team was a longtime Pentagon official, Harold Rhode, a specialist on Islam who speaks Hebrew, Arabic, Turkish, and Farsi. Though Feith would not be officially confirmed until July 2001, career military and civilian officials in NESA began to watch his office with concern after Rhode set up shop in Feith's office in early January. Rhode, seen by many veteran staffers as an ideological gadfly, was officially assigned to the Pentagon's Office of Net Assessment, an in-house Pentagon think tank headed by fellow neocon Andrew Marshall. Rhode helped Feith lay down the law about the department's new anti-Iraq, and broadly anti-Arab, orientation. In one telling incident, Rhode accosted and harangued a visiting senior Arab diplomat, telling him that there would be no "bartering in the bazaar anymore. You're going to have to sit up and pay attention when we say so."

Rhode refused to be interviewed for this story, saying cryptically, "Those who speak, pay."

According to insiders, Rhode worked with Feith to purge career Defense officials who weren't sufficiently enthusiastic about the muscular anti-Iraq crusade that Wolfowitz and Feith wanted. Rhode appeared to be "pulling people out of nooks and crannies of the Defense Intelligence Agency and other places to replace us with," says a former analyst. "They wanted nothing to do with the professional staff. And they wanted us the fuck out of there."

The unofficial, off-site recruitment office for Feith and Rhode was the American Enterprise Institute, a right-wing think tank whose 12th-floor conference room in Washington is named for the dean of neoconservative defense strategists, the late Albert Wohlstetter, an influential RAND analyst and University of Chicago mathematician. Headquartered at AEI is Richard Perle, Wohlstetter's prize protege, the godfather of the AEI-Defense Department nexus of neoconservatives who was chairman of the Pentagon's influential Defense Policy Board. Rhode, along with Michael Rubin, a former AEI staffer who is also now at the Pentagon, was a ubiquitous presence at AEI conferences on Iraq over the past two years, and the two Pentagon officials seemed almost to be serving as stage managers for the AEI events, often sitting in the front row and speaking in stage whispers to panelists and AEI officials. Just after September 11, 2001, Feith and Rhode recruited David Wurmser, the director of Middle East studies for AEI, to serve as a Pentagon consultant.

The trick is in getting people to follow the real Golden Rule.

That requires the Truth.

Then we can disband the War Party.

Then we can go on to do the impossible.

24. Colonel Philip Shue - Who Done It?
Shue died April 16, 2003 near San Antonio, Texas, when his car left the highway and crashed into a cluster of trees. Officials initially reported only that he died of head injuries sustained in the incident.

But I said it was weird: Shue was found with his ankles and wrists wrapped in duct tape, his chest sliced open with a sharp instrument, and both nipples, an earlobe, and his left pinky cut off. He had been missing for two hours, after having left home for work. Shue had been happily planning his imminent retirement from the Air Force.

Weirder still, the Lackland AFB Office of Special Investigations, the County Medical Examiner and the District Attorney convinced a Grand Jury that Shue had committed suicide. Apparently, so it was argued and the jury found, Shue had mutilated himself to make it appear as if he'd been tortured, before driving erratically - though with, I presume, self-malice aforethought - into a tree.

51. Texas Air National Guard and AWOL Coke Whore
Thanks, TheGoldenRule! I mentioned your name in the post above, meaning that people need to remember to treat one another with respect and dignity. What a concept!

Here's some names to remember:

Bush Body Count

The Vietnam war was a painful time for America. Many young Americans were drafted and died thousands of miles from their loved ones. Young men of priviledge had a clear advantage - few of them went to Vietnam, securing positions in the National Guards of their respective states. George W. Bush was one of these men, securing a place in the Texas Air National Guard in spite of a waiting list of several hundred. However, he claims that he did not receive special consideration, which is clearly a lie.

Most of the young men lucky enough to get into the Guard fulfilled their obligations. George W. Bush did not. He was absent without leave, AWOL, for over a year. Not surprisingly, this got little attention from the corporate media.

There are no witnesses left to verify whether or not Bush fulfilled his Guard duty, and no witnesses left to verify that he did indeed receive special treatment. In spite of a substantial reward that has been posted, no one has come forward to claim that he fulfilled his commitment.

Lt. Colonel William Harris, Jr.

Lt. Col. William Harris was one of two commanding officers who could not perform George W. Bush's annual evaluation covering the year from May 1, 1972 to April 30, 1973. They stated in their filing that "Lt. Bush has not been observed at this unit during the period of this report." Fortunately for George W. Bush, Lt. Col. Harris is not here to verify his 1973 statement. He's dead.

Lt. Colonel Jerry B. Killian

Lt. Col. Jerry B. Killian was another of George W. Bush's commanding officers. He cannot testify in a court of law as to George W. Bush's dereliction of his sworn duty. Lt. Col. Killian is dead.

Note: we were unable to find details on the deaths of Lt. CoLs. Killian and Harris, only that they were dead. The names are included because they were relatively young men, whose deaths were convenient to Bush.

James Downing Aalund

Mr. Aalund's name is the first on a long list of young Texans who died in Vietnam. These young men did not have influential fathers to pull the strings necessary to get them into the Texas Air National Guard. If they had been so lucky, they would surely have fulfilled their responsibilities to the ANG, if only out of gratitude that they did not have to die, thousands of miles away in a strange land. They surely would not have disappeared from duty for over a year, as did our fearless leader George W. Bush.

George W Bush's missing year

'Who was this guy who came in late and left early?' After thirty years of silence, Mary Jacoby finds out what the future President really did in 1972

Thursday September 2, 2004

Before Karl Rove, Lee Atwater or even James Baker, the Bush family's political guru was a gregarious newspaper owner and campaign consultant from Midland, Texas, named Jimmy Allison. In the spring of 1972, George HW Bush phoned his friend and asked a favour: Could Allison find a place on the Senate campaign he was managing in Alabama for his troublesome eldest son, the 25-year-old George W Bush?

"The impression I had was that Georgie was raising a lot of hell in Houston, getting in trouble and embarrassing the family, and they just really wanted to get him out of Houston and under Jimmy's wing," Allison's widow, Linda, told me. "And Jimmy said, 'Sure.' He was so loyal."

Allison's account corroborates a Washington Post investigation in February that found no credible witnesses to the service in the Alabama National Guard that Bush maintains he performed, despite a lack of documentary evidence. Asked if she'd ever seen Bush in a uniform, Allison said: "Good lord, no. I had no idea that the National Guard was involved in his life in any way." Allison also confirmed previously published accounts that Bush often showed up in the Blount campaign offices around noon, boasting about how much alcohol he had consumed the night before. (Bush has admitted that he was a heavy drinker in those years, but he has refused to say whether he also used drugs).

"After about a month I asked Jimmy what was Georgie's job, because I couldn't figure it out. I never saw him do anything. He told me it basically consisted of him contacting people who were impressed by his name and asking for contributions and support," Allison said.

C Murphy Archibald, a nephew of Red Blount by marriage and a Vietnam veteran who volunteered on the campaign from September 1972 until election night, corroborated Allison's recollections, though he doesn't recall that the Bush name carried much cachet in Alabama at the time. "I say that because the scuttlebutt on the campaign was that Allison was very sharp and might actually be able to pull off this difficult race" against the incumbent Democrat, Sen John Sparkman, Archibald said. "But then no one understood why he brought this young guy from Texas along. It was like, 'Who was this guy who comes in late and leaves early? And why would Jimmy Allison, who was so impressive, bring him on?'"

90. TANG Widow: Smirko was a DRUNKEN COWARD and Poppy was CIA.
Her source? Her LATE husband and his LATE boss.

Here's the story:

Fear of Flying

A Duval County woman says nerves ended W's National Guard service in Texas

By: Susan Cooper Eastman

According to Janet Linke, a Jacksonville resident and artist, Bush's flying career was permanently disabled by a crippling fear of flying.

Linkes husband was admitted to the Texas Guard in the summer of 1972 to replace Bush. President Bush has said that he stopped flying fighter jets because the Alabama Guard unit didnt have jets, and he wanted the transfer to Alabama in order to work on a political campaign. But Linke says she heard a different story from her husband and Bushs squad commander, the late Lt. Col. Jerry Killian. Shortly after her husband joined the Texas unit, Linke says, the couple discussed Bushs service with Killian at a social event.

Contrary to some news reports that suggest Killian admired Bush, Linke says the officer didnt have much use for the young lieutenant. He mentioned that Bush appeared to have a drinking problem, she recalls, but he was most offended by another incapacity: his fear of flying. According to Linke, Killian said Bush was grounded in his fourth year of flying after he became incapable of flying or properly landing a plane.

He was mucking up bad, Killian told us, Linke says. He just became afraid to fly.

For Linke, Ws military service has become a very personal flashpoint. Linkes husband died while serving in the Texas Guard in 1973 after drinking at the officers club. He nodded off at the wheel, drove into a lake and drowned. Linke was 27 years old with a 3-year-old son. She didnt know much about who W was then; his family was not on the national radar. We were told his father was a very wealthy Texan with CIA connections.

Gee. People heard Smirko brag Poppy was CIA in 1972. That means Poppy lied in 75 when testifying before the Senate for his confirmation hearing for DCI. If he knew this discrepancy, Sen. Frank Church probably would've asked why, especially seeing how the FBI places Bush -- evidently a longtime CIA man -- in Dallas on 22 November 1963.

Nothing Is Secret

By Kelly Patricia OMeara

Insight uncovers a spy probe in the United States by the Canadian government into the theft of computer software that allegedly allows surveillance of top-secret government computer systems.

But the keystone to this RCMP investigation is PROMIS, that universal bridge and monitoring system, which stands for Prosecutors Management Information System a breakthrough computer software program originally developed in the early 1970s by the Hamiltons for case management by U.S. prosecutors. The first version of PROMIS was owned by the government since the development money was provided by the Department of Justice (DOJ), but something went awry on the way to proprietary development.

Seymours involvement with PROMIS began more than a decade ago while working as an investigative reporter on an unrelated story about high-level corruption within the sheriffs department of the Central California town of Mariposa, near Yosemite National Park, where deputies reportedly were involved in illegal-drug activity. The dozen or so who were not involved repeatedly had begged the journalist to conduct an investigation. When she learned that one of the officers had taken the complaints to the state attorney general in Sacramento and within weeks was reported missing in an alleged boating accident on nearby Lake McClure, she launched her probe.

Within a week the Mountie had arranged to meet Seymour at her home to discuss aspects of his own secret investigation and begin the laborious task of copying thousands of documents Seymour had collected from an abandoned trailer in Death Valley belonging to a man at or near the center of the PROMIS controversy, Michael Riconosciuto, a boy genius, entrepreneur, convicted felon and the man who has claimed that he modified the pirated PROMIS software. The documents provided specific information about Riconosciutos connections to the Cabazon Indian Reservation, where he claims to have carried out the modification, but they also painted a clear picture of the men with whom Riconosciuto associated, including mob figures, high-level government officials, intelligence and law-enforcement officers and informants even convicted murderers.

I sat there with my mouth wide open and my eyes practically popping out of my head you know, that deer-in-the-headlights look, Seymour recounts. I couldnt believe what this guy was telling us. It wasnt anything I anticipated or even was prepared to hear. She says, McDade told us his investigation had to do with locating information on the possible sale of PROMIS software to the RCMP in the mid-1980s. He had found evidence in RCMP files that PROMIS may have been installed in the Canadian computer systems, and he said an investigation was initiated by his superiors at the RCMP.

According to Seymour, McDade said that the details of his findings in Canada could conceivably cause a major scandal in both Canada and the United States. He said if his investigation is successful it could cause the entire Republican Party to be dismantled that it would cease to exist in the U.S. Hyperbole, perhaps, but bizarre stuff from a professional lawman.

60. How 'Conspiracy Kooks' Became More Credible Than the White House
You're welcome, anarchy1999! And thank you very much for understanding why I give a damn, DU Friend. We are Free Men and Women -- in American and throughout much of the world. Working together, we will spread the thing the BFEE fears most -- The Truth. And when America know the true score, we will not become Bush's Untermenschen.

Hey! Didjahearabout how well Maureen Farrell sums things up?

How 'Conspiracy Kooks' Became
More Credible Than the White House

by Maureen Farrell

"In the next 5 to 10 years,
we are all going to live in a global version
of Nazi Germany."
- David Icke

"Basically, all the conspiracy theories about
secret societies wanting
to take over the world are wrong."
- Daniel Pipes

Anyone who's ever tuned into the History Channel's "Secret Societies" recognizes these quotes from its opening segment. As part of the "History's Mysteries" series, "Secret Societies" is a fun, often sensational journey inside the world of would-be cabals and plots for world domination. Featuring volleyed testimony from various experts, the program mixes factual information and historical trivia with open speculation on the role secret societies may have played in these events. "Do shadowy and clandestine groups really rule the world?" host Arthur Kent campily inquires, before hinting at hidden subtext behind historical moments.

During the 1980 presidential campaign, for example, the History Channel reports that Ronald Reagan repeatedly expressed a distrust of secret societies and promised that Skull and Bonesman, Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) member and Trilateral Commission alumni George Bush would not be offered a position in his administration. Yet during the Republican Convention, Reagan broke tradition by making a late-night dash from his hotel room to the convention floor and declaring George Bush his running mate. The Iran hostage situation was miraculously resolved the day Reagan was sworn in.

Ever since Prescott Bush was penalized for trading with the Nazis during World War II and the words "George Bush of the CIA" surfaced on a 1963 FBI report on the JFK assassination, the Bush family has been tied to speculation. And certainly, October Surprises and Iran/Contra add to the intrigue while links between the Bushes and the Hinkleys and Bushes and bin Ladens have not gone unnoticed. Regardless how entertaining this speculation may be, however, reasonable people have historically heard the word "conspiracy" and rejected theories outright -- even those theories that later proved to be true. And given a choice between the conspiracy theorists and debunkers, they've tended to take the road less kooky.

In the History Channel-extracted exchange above, for example, CFR member Daniel Pipes clearly asserts the more sensible view. Serving on three editorial boards and working on four presidential campaigns, this author of CONSPIRACY: How the Paranoid Style Flourishes and Where It Comes From once headed the Foreign Policy Research Institute, which is funded, in large part, by conspiracy-monger Richard Mellon Scaife. Pipes is also known for his latest endeavor, Campus Watch, (http// wherein he actively encourages "the paranoid style" by targeting professors who don't tow his politically correct line. Monitoring Middle East Studies professors, Pipes' group scours educators' work for bias and enlists students and academics who are "interested in promoting American interests on campus" to spy and tattle. A professor who is concerned about Dick Cheney's $73 million in business transactions with Iraq (even as sanctions continued to kill 5,000 Iraqi children monthly), for example, might be wise to keep his mouth shut, else possibly be listed on Pipes' website and become besieged with hate mail and death threats. What was Pipes saying about paranoia, again?

Now that debunkers like Pipes have been linked to conspiracies to squelch dissent and Bush's official national security policy openly expresses a desire for dominance and control, is it any wonder conspiracy theories thrive? From the 2000 election to unanswered Sept. 11 questions to outright fabrications over Iraq, the president has repeatedly proven that he will lie shamelessly in order to garner more power for himself and his cronies. The shroud of secrecy under which the administration operates only serves to fuel speculation, while last minute GOP sneakiness, like the maneuvers that ballooned the 32 page Homeland Security Bill to nearly 500 pages virtually overnight, prove once again whose side theses folks are on.

Anybody "read" this?

Some intel-leck-shoo-uhls there, huh? These turds have somethingin the works. Perhaps they don't call themselves NAZIs, but they are -- based on their inaction before 9-11 and actions since.

As Mme Roland mounted the steps of the guillotine during the height of the French Revolution she looked at the familiar statue of Liberty placed near the scaffold and cried out, "Oh, Liberty! What crimes are committed in your name!"

82. Here's something BFEE that's most unpleasant to bring up...
...but it has to do with the topic of the BFEE's "Dead Men Tell No Tales" policy:

The Franklin Coverup Scandal

The Child sex ring that reached Bush/Reagan Whitehouse

Articles, links, the lurid story and how it brings in Hunter S. Thompson, Jeff Gannon and the innocent people whose lives were ruined or taken.

This shit is so weird, I don't like to think about it. Then again, if it isn't brought up to the light of day, those responsible are left to run free and harm others.

Chester Gould or one of his most excellent colleagues created a small vignette for the Sunday comic in which they'd warn of the things the bad guys were up to. As I'm a master of the obvious, it became clear how to apply it to our present Abwehr.

If I may, an interesting sidenote: One of the most vicious bad guys Dick Tracy ever faced was "Pruneface." Created during World War II, the guy passed as a super-patriot. The reality was, Pruneface was nothing but a NAZI spy.

The late, great Detroit Mayor Coleman Young called Ronald Reagan "Pruneface." Now THERE's a coincidence!

77. You're welcome, concord! Hey, Bushes aren't always against terrorists!
Orlando Bosch is a name that shouldn't be forgotten. Bosch apparently is a US Govenment trained assassin specializing in bombings. He's bombed cars, hotels and passenger planes. A real friend of Democracy. Of course, George Bush Sr. sprang him out of jail. That old "Bay of Pigs Thing" again...

January 31, 2002

Orlando Boschs terrorist curriculum vitae

To refresh Otto Reichs memory

Few terrorists in history have achieved as high a level of criminal activity as Orlando Bosch.

In 1968, his fame was so great that, while under arrest for a bazooka attack on a Polish freighter, the city of Miami proclaimed Orlando Bosch Day, in support of that "exemplary" anti-Castro fighter. The pace of the attacks he carried out consisted of a campaign of terror aimed at scaring the Miami community, and raising money for "the cause" including, of course, the terrorist leaders bank account.

Unfortunately, his fellow Miami Cuban Otto Reich, now the White Houses top man in Latin America who helped Bosch escape from Venezuelan justice and find refuge in the United States seems to have lost his memory. He declared at a Senate hearing, with apparent candidness, that he was unaware of his friend Orlando Boschs terrorist past.

That declaration notwithstanding, dozens and dozens of terrorist attacks are attributed to Orlando Bosch and the gangs he led. Perhaps this "black list" will refresh the memory of George W. Bushs close collaborator.

Most importantly: A hearty welcome to DU, concord! Yours is a most patriotic moniker!

76. Since you "don't do conspiracies anymore," how do you explain Ohio?
Ohio exit polls indicated a majority voted for Kerry, yet Bush won. Of course, there's no way to really tell because the precincts Bush won were tabulated electronically. Neat trick, huh?

A Corrupted Election

Despite what you may have heard, the exit polls were right

By Steve Freeman and Josh Mitteldorf
In These Times

Recall the Election Day exit polls that suggested John Kerry had won a convincing victory? The media readily dismissed those polls and little has been heard about them since.

Many Americans, however, were suspicious. Although President Bush prevailed by 3 million votes in the official, tallied vote count, exit polls had projected a margin of victory of 5 million votes for Kerry. This unexplained 8 million vote discrepancy between the election night exit polls and the official count should raise a Chinese May Day of red flags.

The U.S. voting system is more vulnerable to manipulation than most Americans realize. Technologies such as electronic voting machines provide no confirmation that votes are counted as cast, and highly partisan election officials have the power to suppress votes and otherwise distort the count.

Exit polls are highly accurate. They remove most of the sources of potential polling error by identifying actual voters and asking them immediately afterward who they had voted for.

The reliability of exit polls is so generally accepted that the Bush administration helped pay for them during recent elections in Georgia, Belarus and Ukraine. Testifying before the House Committee on International Relations Dec. 7, John Tefft, deputy assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, explained that the Bush administration funded exit polls because they were one of the "ways that would help to expose large-scale fraud." Tefft pointed to the discrepancy between exit polls and the official vote count to argue that the Nov. 22 Ukraine election was stolen.

Certainly no conspiracy involved there, right?

83. I'm sorry, kk897.
The poor child is just one of thousands of kids maimed by Bush's illegal invasion of a country that had nothing to do with 9-11. Only God knows how many have died. May we soon see the day the guy is impeached for treason.

Remember, Poppy's 1991 Gulf War? Hundreds and thousands of innocent Iraqi children have perished since then because of economic sanctions. And that war was phony, too.

First Bush gave Saddam all the weapons he needed to fight Iran. Then Bush gave Saddam a "green light" to attack Kuwait -- April Glaspie told Saddam we had no position on Arab-Arab border disputes. After the Kuwait invasion, Bush needed to create a plausible reason for war. So he created phony intelligence indicating Saddam was preparing to attack the Saudi oil fields. Cheney and Powell showed the Saudi roils phony satellite pics showing massed armies and tanks columns on the border. The king let in the Pentagon and pretty soon Osama was pretty pissed. Gee. That's blowback.

Regarding PAPERCLIP: Bush knows a sizable minority are aware of his family's connections to Hitler. If he doesn't appear to cooperate, the minority will grow.

Besides, with Porter "Operation 40" Goss at the helm of CIA, there's nothing for Bushler to worry about. Any documents of real importance has long ago been burned or scrubbed. And in spycraft, any actions and contracts of real import are the result of a verbal agreements.

Still, there's hope. Remember, the FBI memos that peg Poppy to Dallas on November 22, 1963. The BFEE probably thought they didn't exist. Or if they did, such proof of Bush's involvment with President Kennedy's assassination would never see the light of day. Perhaps similar documents will pop up that demonstrate the links between Dulles-Harriman-Bush and their Herr Hitler before the wear and their General Gehlen after.

Interesting people, the BFEE. Thanks for caring, kk897!

Remember, Poppy's 1991 Gulf War? Hundreds and thousands of innocent Iraqi children have perished since then because of economic sanctions. And that war was phony, too.

Oh yes, I know. I protested that war, too. Interesting to note that here in my neck of the woods, there were far more protesters at rallies in '91 than there were for the current version. This depite the fact that more people were against this war, according to polls (as I recall, anyway--'91 was a long time ago).

Regarding PAPERCLIP: Bush knows a sizable minority are aware of his family's connections to Hitler. If he doesn't appear to cooperate, the minority will grow.

I think maybe you're optimistic here, about the growth of the minority.

Besides, with Porter "Operation 40" Goss at the helm of CIA, there's nothing for Bushler to worry about. Any documents of real importance has long ago been burned or scrubbed. And in spycraft, any actions and contracts of real import are the result of a verbal agreements.

It's funny, but I've never thought of it this way. I've just supposed that the bureaucracy produces so many tons of paperwork that even the the most clandestine operations have some sort of papertrail. But you're right--why would they document the most sensitive issues? It's kind of scary to think about, actually. If you assume the most explosive stuff is undocumented; that the second most explosive stuff is documented and eventually destroyed; that the third most explosive stuff is documented, retained, and heavily redacted; and that we the people can sometimes obtain some pretty darn explosive stuff through FOIA or through whistleblowers--it makes you wonder what's REALLY going on at the very top of the foodchain. I mean, the stuff we know is enough to curl your hair--what about those "known unknowns" and the "unknown unknowns"?! I suppose the study of parapolitics is all about trying to find the traces these activities leave behind. It's like trying to determine what type of boat has gone past solely from investigating the wake.

Still, there's hope. Remember, the FBI memos that peg Poppy to Dallas on November 22, 1963. The BFEE probably thought they didn't exist. Or if they did, such proof of Bush's involvment with President Kennedy's assassination would never see the light of day. Well, they're evil, but they're human (or in all probably they are, heh), and humans make mistakes. Also, there may be some unknown heroes out there working the archives, "losing" documents at inconvenient times for those seeking to destroy them, only to let them slip out another day.

92. You knocked a future shock crowbar upside my head

You took me to the restaurant where we first met
You knocked a future shock crowbar upside my head
I got caught with the stop of the tick-tock, tick-tock clock
When you told me what you knew

Lost in the moment
The day that the music stopped
And I do remember you

Drawing patterns with a cork on the tablecloth
Promising volcanic change of plot
Where will this lead us - I'm scared of the storm
The outsiders are gathering, a new day is born

I tried to tell you I am not afraid
You looked up and saw it all across my face
So am I with you or am I against
I don't think it's that easy - we're lost in regret

Now I'm trying to remember
The feeling when the music stopped
When you told me what you knew

Lost in the moment
The day that the music stopped
And I do remember you

Drawing patterns with a cork on the tablecloth
Promising volcanic change of plot
Where does this leave us - I'm scared of the storm
The outsiders are gathering, a new day is born

Drawing patterns with a cork on the tablecloth
Promising volcanic change of plot
Where does this leave us - I'm scared of the storm
The outsiders are gathering, a new day is born

The outsiders are gathering, a new day is born
The outsiders are gathering

A man walks away when every muscle says to stay
How many yesterdays - they each weigh heavy
Who says what changes may come?
Who says what we call home?
I know you see right through me, my luminescence fades
The dusk provides an antidote, I am not afraid
I've been a million times in my mind
This is really just a technicality, frailty, reality

Uh, it's time to breathe, time to believe
Let it go and run towards the sea
They don't teach that, they don't know what you mean
They don't understand, they don't know what you mean
They don't get it, I wanna scream
I wanna breathe again, I wanna dream
I wanna float a quote from Martin Luther King
I am not afraid
I am not afraid
I am not afraid

I am not afraid
I am not afraid
I am not afraid
I am not afraid

-R.E.M. with Q-Tip
The Outsiders

excerpt from Martin Luther King speech at the Holt Street Baptist Church during the Montgomery Bus Boycott (5th December, 1955):

"I want to say that with all of our actions we must stick together. Unity is the great need of the hour. And if we are united, we can get many of the things that we not only desire but which we justly deserve. And don't let anybody frighten you. We are not afraid of what we are doing, because we are doing it within the law."

excerpt from MLK speech delivered on April 3rd, 1968, the night before he was assasinated:

"Well, I don't know what will happen now. We've got some difficult days ahead. But it doesn't matter with me now. Because I've been to the mountaintop. And I don't mind.

Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I'm not concerned about that now. I just want to do God's will. And He's allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I've looked over. And I've seen the promised land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get will get to the promised land!

And so I'm happy, tonight. I'm not worried about anything. I'm not fearing any man! Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord!!"

93. I'm not that thin. And the mullet. It only LOOKS like a mullet.
I've never worn a mullet in my LIFE.

Still, I know what you mean. Here's an example of a truly brave author:

Kitty Kelley does more work researching one book than Corporate McPravda in all its work for the past 42 years combined

Don't mess with the Bushes

In her new book, Kitty Kelley shows how the first family intimidates those who've tried to expose the clan's dark secrets of drugs, drinking, womanizing and nepotism. Now, she tells Salon, they're coming after her.

While the Camp David coke party is getting the headlines, Kelley's book is filled with many other tawdry stories about the Bush dynasty. Here is a family that looks "like 'The Donna Reed Show,' and then you see it's 'The Sopranos,'" Kelley tells Salon in the interview below. As Kelley tells it, the dynasty had respectable origins -- in the form of family patriarch Prescott Bush, the distinguished, moderate Republican senator from Connecticut -- but rapidly slid into cynical opportunism, skulduggery, and a mean-spirited sense of entitlement. The first President Bush is presented as a weak yes man, driven not by political vision but a savage preppy spirit of competition instilled in him by his whirlwind of a mother. But it is his wife, Barbara (whom the ex-wife of White House counsel C. Boyden Gray calls "bull-dyke tough"), and their eldest son, George, who are the true pieces of work in Kelley's book, a mother and son team brimming with such spite and ambition they would give the ruthless duo in "The Manchurian Candidate" the shivers. In one of the creepier passages of the book, a family gathering from hell at Kennebunkport, Maine, Barbara is shown mercilessly baiting her dry-drunk son, then governor of Texas, as a teetotaling "Chosen One," while he keeps pleading to skip the cocktails and put on the feed bag, and his elderly father "drools over Paula Zahn's legs."

But, as one of W.'s Yalie frat brothers tells Kelley, it's not the substance abuse in Bush's past that's disturbing, it's the "lack of substance ... Georgie, as we called him, had absolutely no intellectual curiosity about anything. He wasn't interested in ideas or in books or causes. He didn't travel; he didn't read the newspapers; he didn't watch the news; he didn't even go to the movies. How anyone got out of Yale without developing some interest in the world besides booze and sports stuns me." New Yorker writer Brendan Gill recalls roaming the Kennebunkport compound one night while staying there looking for a book to read -- the only title he could find was "The Fart Book."

According to Kelley, the Bushes aggressively maintain their all-American family image by scrubbing government files of embarrassing facts, stonewalling journalists, and terrorizing critics. "Some people felt that George's past did not seep out and embarrass him and his family," she writes of the White House's current Bush, "because he was protected by a coterie of former CIA men with an allegiance to his father." An Austin, Texas, political consultant named Peck Young told Kelley that when a woman claiming to have been a call girl from Midland showed up in Austin with "intimate knowledge" of W. during his oil wildcatting days, she was approached by what she described as "intelligence types" and left town abruptly. According to Young, the men "made her realize that it was better to turn tricks in Midland than to stop breathing."

(KITTY KELLEY ON SHARON BUSH): I don't know; my guess is she's scared. Over that lunch we had in New York she did tell me that her husband, Neil Bush, had left her a message on the phone machine saying if you continue with you might find yourself in a dark alley. And she said that in front of Lou Colasuonno. She talked about everything with me that day, mostly about the breakup of her marriage, and how the Bushes don't have family values. And she said to me that the affair that Neil had that broke up her marriage was aided and abetted by his parents, Barbara and George. She was crying and crying and she said, "They let him have an affair. And I called up Barbara and threw myself on her mercy and said please, please tell him to come back home." And I said, "How can his mother tell him to come back to his wife?" And she said, "You don't understand -- they'll do anything she tells them." But she said her mother-in-law wouldn't do that, she was cold as ice. And she cried, "You'd think Barbara would have been more sympathetic to me, considering all the infidelities she's had to put up with."

That Kitty Kelley is an army of one, for real.

Me? Those who know me in real life think I'm better as a memory.

A vague memory.

The late Sen. Frank Church was a World War II hero, a Senator at age 32 and on the CIA's shit list since 1961, when he blamed the CIA for the screwball Bay of Pigs operation (Hi, Poppy!). He was an early opponent of the Vietnam War, having himself served in southeast Asia during WW II, he understood better than most what the likely outcomes to be.

In 1975, Church...

Named Chairman of Select Committee to Study Governmental Opera- tions with Respect to Intelligence Activities - investigates alleged abuse of power by CIA and FBI. Reveals CIA involvement in plots to assassinate world leaders, coup against Chile's Marxist President Salvador Allende, covert operations against radical groups as de- fined by 1. Edgar Hoover, including Martin Luther King Jr., Adlai Stevenson and justice William 0. Douglas. Committee makes 100 recommendations including curbing illegal wire taps, mail opening, break-ins, surveillance, harassment of political dissidents, assassination plots against foreign leaders, and campaigns to smear Civil Rights activists.

Gee. Must've hit a raw nerve (Hi, Poppy!) The CIA is reported to have used its domestic assets to help defeat Church during 1980 reelection campaign (lost by less than 1-percent of vote). Four years later, Chuch suffered from cancer and died.

Still, War Inc. uses Church as a strawman, blaming him for 9-11:

Back to Church
By Chris Mooney
Issue Date: 11.5.01

Hawkish conservatives today must secretly reserve a special affection for the late Idaho Democrat Frank Church; after all, he provided them with the cudgel they've since used to batter liberal critics of the U.S. intelligence community. As chair of the Senate's 1975 intelligence investigation, Church famously characterized the Central Intelligence Agency as a "rogue elephant rampaging out of control." He was struggling to describe the lack of any clear presidential authorization for the agency's bungled assassination attempts against Fidel Castro and other foreign leaders. But to Church's critics, the "rogue elephant" comment came to epitomize the barnstorming liberal senator's hopelessly naive approach to intelligence. What president, they asked, would leave behind a written assassination order? Who was Church kidding? And how dare the senator--gearing up to run for president--grandstand at the expense of national security?

In the wake of September 11, we've been hearing "rogue elephant" again. The hawks have flung blame all around for the massive intelligence failure that permitted the September attacks, targeting Bill Clinton, CIA Director George Tenet, and the defenseless Frank Church. September 11 was Church's fault, these critics explain, because his bipartisan committee--which probed not just CIA assassination plots but covert operations, domestic-mail-intercept programs, the Federal Bureau of Investigation's hounding of Martin Luther King, Jr., and other abuses--broke the spirit of the nation's intelligence community by exposing its embarrassing missteps.

The Church bashing began the day of the World Trade Center massacre on ABC, when former Secretary of State James Baker said that Church's hearings had caused us to "unilaterally disarm in terms of our intelligence capabilities." The allegation was soon repeated by Republican Senator Christopher "Kit" Bond of Missouri and numerous conservative commentators. The Wall Street Journal editorial page called the opening of Church's public hearings "the moment that our nation moved from an intelligence to anti-intelligence footing." And the spy-mongering novelist Tom Clancy attacked Church on Fox News's O'Reilly Factor: "The CIA was gutted by people on the political left who don't like intelligence operations," he said. "And as a result of that, as an indirect result of that, we've lost 5,000 citizens last week."

Although the CIA had ballooned to the size of the State Department by the late 1950s, prior to 1975 the U.S. intelligence community had never undergone significant congressional scrutiny. The laissez-faire attitude was encapsulated by a remark to Church from the Republican Senator Leverett Saltonstall of Massachusetts: "It's better for gentlemen not to know what's going on." But after a 1974 New York Times series by Seymour Hersh revealed that the CIA had conducted "massive" illegal spying activities against American antiwar protesters and dissidents, Congress and the executive branch convulsed into action. Three separate bodies were formed to investigate the intelligence services: Church's committee in the Senate, a committee headed by New York Democrat Otis Pike in the House of Representatives, and a commission led by Vice President Nelson Rockefeller.

The Watergate hearings lingered in recent memory, and Church was in some sense the congressional equivalent of Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein. The amount of information amassed by his committee of 11 senators and more than 100 staff members was staggering: 800 interviews, 110,000 pages of documents. As the University of Georgia political scientist and Church-committee staffer Loch K. Johnson describes in his 1985 account Season of Inquiry, the committee's reports added up to "a stack of green-covered Senate publications standing over two feet high and numbering several thousand pages." And as the embarrassing revelations tumbled out--that the CIA had kept lethal shellfish poisons despite an order from President Nixon to destroy them, for example, or that it had administered LSD to "unwitting" human subjects--the Ford administration dug in its heels. Indeed, the rhetoric of "dismantling" and "crippling" the CIA comes from ur-Realpolitickers Gerald Ford and Henry Kissinger.

Gee. A guy wants to know what a government agency does in the People's name and all he gets is a hearty shove over the edge. If there was justice in the land, some of these people blaming Church for 9-11 would look in the mirror. For instance, who let the Saudis, including Osama's kin, fly out of the country? Or, who ignored the FBI warnings that terrorists were training to fly jumbo jets? Does the name BUSH ring a bell, Poppy?

100. Thanks, l-not! Hey! Abbie Hoffman and OCTOBER SURPRISE are in the news!
From Robert Parry and

Russian Report on 1980 'October Surprise' Case

This document -- a "confidential" cable from the U.S. Embassy in Moscow -- is a translation of a report sent on Jan. 11, 1993, from the national security committee of the Russian legislature to a U.S. House task force that was then investigating the so-called "October Surprise" controversy.

That case centered on allegations that, during the summer and fall of 1980, the Reagan-Bush campaign conducted secret negotiations with Iran's Islamic fundamentalist government, which was holding 52 Americans hostage. The lingering crisis sapped President Jimmy Carter's political strength and cleared the way for Ronald Reagan's historic victory. The hostages were freed immediately after Reagan became President.

The Russian assistance was requested on Oct. 21, 1992, by the House task force chairman, Rep. Lee Hamilton, D-Ind. The Russian report asserted that the allegations of secret Republican negotiations with Iran were true. But the Russian report was never released by the task force, whose public findings reached the opposite conclusion.

Reporter Robert Parry found the Russian report among files belonging to the House task force in December 1994 and made these copies on a copier in a Capitol Hill storage room. For easier reading, we have typed out the contents of the Russian report, without the Embassy's coding and introduction, in a separate file. The actual cable is below -- or view as a higher resolution PDF file:

99. Catherine Austin Fitts
A very brave woman...

She was tasked with cleaning up the Iran/Contra and BCCI messes, and learned first hand just how horribly corrupt America has become under the Neo-Cons and their Fundie brown shirts...

She credits former LA Detective and CIA cocaine trafficking whistle blower Mike Ruppert, at (from the wilderness), with saving her life after she learned too much. She is now revealing all she knows to help us fight the good fight...her web site is a must bookmark... not only explains what the dangers are in the near future, she gives us info and tools to fight back constructively. Think downsizing Corporate control over local politics and upsizing Community control....

101. Ol' Ruppert may be on to something: Safety in Numbers.
Thanks for the reminder about Ms. Fitts bravery. Hers is a story we all need to remember -- for her sake, yes, but also for our country. To brave up and lay down the wood against Bushco means she must really love America and her fellow Americans.

Here's one I wish were still with us. John O'Neill could've told the 9-11 Commission how Bush ordered him off the Osama bin Laden Investigation.

John P. O'Neill

He was Director of Counterterrorism at the New York offices of the F.B.I. until he resigned in August 2001. One of the world's top experts on Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda, he grew to believe that "all the answers" regarding what they needed to destroy Al Qaeda lay in Saudi Arabia. However, starting in January 2001, Bush blocked all efforts by Mr. O'Neill to investigate Saudi ties to bin Laden. In the summer of 2001 O'Neill declared that the main obstacles to his investigation were U.S. oil interests.

In late August, a frustrated O'Neill quit the FBI and took a position as head of security for the World Trade Center. From

September 11: On O'Neill's second day of work on the 34th floor, the WTC is hit by the first plane. O'Neill makes it out of the building safely, calls his son to say he is OK,. then goes into the other tower to help guide those still inside to safety. Minutes later, O'Neill, along with hundreds of others, is dead, killed by the terrorist the Bush administration refused to allow him to pursue to the best of his ability.

PS: Good idea, RBHam! Let's list some of the living to help keep them that way. Strength in numbers.

John O'Neill, the Man Who Knew Too Much

When the Twin Towers fell on Sept. 11, 2001, among the thousands killed was the one man who may have known more about Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda than any other person in America John O'Neill.

The former head of the FBI's flagship antiterrorism unit in New York City, O'Neill had investigated the bombings of the U.S. embassies in Africa and the USS Cole in Yemen. For five years, he led the fight to track down and prosecute al Qaeda operatives throughout the world. But his James Bond style and obsession with Osama bin Laden made him a controversial figure inside the buttoned-down world of the FBI. Just two weeks before Sept. 11, O'Neill left the bureau for a job in the private sector -- as head of security at the World Trade Center. He died there after rushing back into the burning towers to aid in the rescue efforts.

For six years, he led the fight to track down and prosecute Al Qaeda operatives throughout the world. But his flamboyant, James Bond style and obsession with Osama bin Laden made him a controversial figure inside the buttoned-down world of the FBI. Just two weeks before Sept. 11, O'Neill left the bureau for a job in the private sector -- as head of security at the World Trade Center. He died there after rushing back into the burning towers to aid in the rescue efforts. FRONTLINE's The Man Who Knew, chronicles John O'Neill's story -- a story that embraces the clash of personalities, politics and intelligence, offering important insights into both the successes and failures of America's fight against terrorism. Drawing on exclusive interviews with many of O'Neill's closest friends and associates, this report opens with O'Neill's introduction into the new world of terrorism -- the capture in 1995 of one of the world's most wanted terrorists -- Ramzi Yousef, the ringleader of the group that bombed the World Trade Center in 1993. Former U.S. Attorney Mary Jo White credits O'Neill with quickly grasping the danger Yousef and other terrorists represented to America. Yousef is one of the most dangerous people on the planet -- also very smart, she says. Getting and incapacitating him was a significant public safety issue. And John O'Neill recognized that and was not about to take 'no' for an answer before he was taken into custody. O'Neill immersed himself into learning everything he could about global terrorism and Islamic fundamentalist militancy. In 1997, O'Neill was promoted to special agent in charge of the national security division in the bureau's New York office. Observers say O'Neill grabbed at the chance to head the team that was investigating and prosecuting most major international terrorism cases. The job would also be the perfect base from which to continue his pursuit of bin Laden and Al Qaeda. But while John O'Neill had succeeded in winning allies among CIA and international intelligence agencies, not everyone within the FBI was so enamored of him. A fixture on New York's celebrity social circuit, O'Neill's flamboyant style and his unconventional personal life -- he had several longtime girlfriends and a wife he never divorced -- had long raised eyebrows within the FBI. The Man Who Knew, gives viewers an insider's perspective on O'Neill's investigations as well as the internal territorial debates among the FBI, the State Department, and the White House over how to deal with U.S. terrorist investigations in East Africa in August 1998 and the Yemen in October 2000. believed the New York field office had the greatest depth of expertise of anybody in the country on this issue, and if it's Al Qaeda, how could you send anybody else but the people who know the most? recalls Fran Townsend, former head of the U.S. Justice Department's office of intelligence policy. O'Neill's New York FBI team was at the center of bureacratic arm-wrestling over who would head the 1998 investigation into the embassy bombings in East Africa. O'Neill again was the focus of a heated political battle over the investigation of the 2000 attack against the USS Cole in Yemen.
