48. Even if your analysis of similarity were true, which I do not accept,
what you cannot and will not support has absolutely zero to do with what IS - the circumstances in which the moral agent makes a choice. I will bet a single dollar to $1000 that either the Dem or Rep nominee will succeed Obama, and that Obama will be the Dem nominee barring his death or a major scandal. Choosing "not-Obama" in that case is identical to choosing the Rep nominee. You may not like that; hell I may not like that, maybe most people may not like that, but that does not absolve any one of us from the very real ethical choice we have to make between A and B. There is no chance of C, so everyone gets to pick between just two, and everyone suffers from the poor choices of those who can not or will not go for the better of those two.
