The fact is, that nuclear disasters have the potential to be really, really, really bad. Obviously a lot of "worst case it'll never happen" scenarios have managed to come true in the past several days, pertaining to these plants. This is already a major nuclear disaster, the question is now whether the reactor containment vessels will hold.

I really, really, really hope they do.
