Reply #158: WI Gov. Walker names former ALEC director & "legislator of the year" to Public Service Commission

Scott Walker has appointed former State Representative Phil Montgomery to the PSC. Montgomery is a long-time ALEC member who was ALEC's Legislator of the Year in 2005, when he was chairman of ALEC's Telecommunication and Information Technology Task Force's Subcommittee on Competition. More recently he was on ALEC's Board of Directors.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's article on this noted Montgomery's campaign contributions from corporations, which he said are "not a concern." Not to him, of course, but they should be to the citizens of Wisconsin. So should the role he's played for the American Legislative Exchange Council and its corporate members.
