53. CAVEATS re- Tor and the Cloud:

1. The Tor site itself says, "Tor won't work in this environment . . . . When Egyptians can get back online, a strong Tor network will play an important role in helping activists organize and inform."

2. Migrating more computing to the Cloud strengthens the control of centralized authorities over the internet, making it easier for them throttle it or alter or delete info on it. The strength of the 'net has lain in the fact that it's distributed. We should be very careful about what data and facilities we entrust to the Cloud.
