157. Well that's why I said INSTEAD of bailing out............
the banker's bonuses. Also, I mentioned low or no interest government loans. IOW, this would be a REAL positive use of our tax money. And probably cheaper than bailing out the banker bonuses.

Now I know that under the current political setup this scenario would be unlikely. HOWEVER, I'd like to see ideas like this mentioned seriously as an option. Why even mention it if it's nearly impossible? Because I think that the IDEA itself would be wildly popular, deliniate the parties, and pressure the capitalists, so that they MIGHT decide to keep those factories open rather than close them and face competition with the co-ops. This would be ESPECIALLY true for those plants that were closed EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE PROFITABLE. Just not profitable "enough".
