Okay, a short while back, I remarked on how Walsh, the clear winner of the Boston election to winnow down the mayoral field (not exactly a primary since all but one was a Dem), had used his mum's adorable voice and brogue in his campaign.

Well, now, we have a Democrat running for Ed Markey's now vacant house seat using his Tea Party dad in his campaign.

I confess, I rather like the ads, too. And, they kind of underscore the point, without a word about age, that the Teabaggers are not exactly the youth vote.

To give credit to Pops Sciortino, he obviously knows that his participation in the ad is intended to help his liberal (I hope) son and he is participating.

BTW, I got another robo call from Mrs. Walsh the elder the other day. Her discomfort was palpable, as was her desire to help her son. Had she been in reach, I would have given her a cup of tea and given her a big hug--and I don't even keep tea in my home. (Maybe a strong preference for coffee is in the air in Boston?)
