For some reason,

the left Democratic politicians seem intent on rehabiliatiing Eisenhower. So does Joe Scarborough.

I understand why Joe does it. Give him another few years and he'll be trying it with Nixon, too. But I don't get the motives of the left Democratic politicians.

(Old linguistic habits die hard, but die they must.)

Glad you found the post interesting. I just saw a few typos, including failing to capitalize US. However, apart from that, I rather liked it myself!

Haven't found anything, one way or the other, about the killer being related to Joe, though.

I have never heard the name DiMaggio, except in connection with Joe and his relatives. And Joe was born in California and the killer was living in California. I believe the killer was born in California as well, but I am not sure about that bit. (A friend of a friend knew the killer, but only saw him once a year, at some camping event. They were not close.)

Had Joe lived, he would be 99. His son (who died a few months after Joe did, oddly enough) would be about 71 now, if he had lived. The killer is 40.

I don't think the killer is Joe DiMaggio's grandson by any means. I mean to show only that the killer is in the right age range to be a grandson or great grandson of Joe or one of Joe's brothers or maybe of a cousin of Joe's generational level.
