On his show this morning, Chuck Todd said that President Obama was looking for political cover to draw down in Afghanistan.

A lot of Democrats never wanted to be there, though some, I guess, bought the twisted logic that it was okay to bomb the Afghanis for something Osama Bin Ladin did. However, that was then. By 2013, which Democrats still think we should be occupying Afghanistan?

Joe Scarborough had been saying for almost two years that we should get out and a lot of conservatives agree with him.

The President said some time ago that we'd be substantially out in 2014, which is no longer that far away.

So, from whom does President Obama need political cover to accelerate draw down?

Todd never elaborated on that tiny point.
