Really, I'm always dumbfounded when people freak out over "Oh my God, the government is looking at my tweets! Evil police state!" Newsflash: EVERYONE can look at your tweets. That's the whole point of Twitter. The government can look at it without a warrant, so can I, so can anybody. Likewise, anyone can build a script to sort through Twitter and look for information, trends, marketing data, etcetera. The government, me, Microsoft, the Mounties, Whitecastle, anybody.

If you want something to be private, DON'T POST IT ON THE INTERNET FOR THE WHOLE PLANET TO SEE.
