9. TWELVE letters of complaint.
For a show that gets 16 MILLION viewers. The number of people offended enough to complain to the FCC? Fewer than one in a million. For purposes of comparison here, the appearance of Nick Griffin (leader of the British National Party) on the BBC's Question Time drew 8 million viewers (which, considering that the UK has a bit more than 60 million people? Would be the equivalent of more than 40 million viewers for a US television programme, based on relative populations)...and had 290 complaints to the broadcast regulator, Ofcom (of course Nick Griffin is far more genuinely offensive than a nipple).
