103. The other day I was riding the handicapped bus to the store
And as the driver pulled up to a stop light, there was a ragged couple sitting on the median with their dog. The driver rolled down his window and yelled "Hey!" The woman walked up to him and he handed her a ten dollar bill. He remarked to me "I see them all the time, and feel bad I can't give them more".

I know what those drivers make - since some of them are a chatty lot - and it isn't nearly enough for a job that requires intelligence and skill, as well as some pretty heavy lifting, although not a lot of formal education. What that driver handed over represented a hefty chunk out of his paycheck.

If the "job creators" had even a fraction of the compassion and generosity of that driver, this country wouldn't be in the sorry shape that it is.
