40. Anyone who sticks to their principles regardless of party politics

ends up being a 'nitwit' to party loyalists of both parties. That is generally the highest compliment that can be paid to writer whose job is NOT to protect political entities, parties or politicians, which far too much of our media does, but to inform the public.

What is noticeable about Greenwald's detractors is that they never can dispute what he writes about. So they resort to name-calling.

MSM 'journalists' are classified as either 'left' or 'right' and loved or hated by the partisans of both parties.

Greenwald transcends that kind of partisan reaction from the public, and we need all of our media to attract the kind of reaction that he does. Because then we would have a media that reports facts.

Whether you meant to or not, you just paid him the highest compliment as a journalist. He used to be loved by the 'left', hated by the 'right'. He hasn't changed, he's still reporting facts and I hope he never stops and I hope some day all of our journalists will follow his example. If only that were the case, what a different country this would be at this point in our history.
