50. Everything is political with the leadership....

But the people can for a few hours set politics aside and just feel the moment of unity. I have friends and family who are republicans and voted for McCain. But on election night they totally got into the moment. I got many positive calls and emails that night and on the days that followed. I had worked so hard on the campaign and they were all very happy for me.

But, fortunately, Bush won't be there. It showed a lot of class for Obama to invite him. I'm very glad he declined.

BTW...the republicans totally distanced themselves from Bush since he left office. No one even wanted him campaigning for them. He's even more pathetic now so there's no way any republican candidate is going to use this event in their campaigns. Why would they remind people that Obama got OBL and not Bush.
