but this is not the case here. As a teacher, I know she has the right to have the Bible, or Little House On The Prairie, sitting on her desk except for those times all students must clear off their desks for things such as test-taking, projects, general wipe-down time, etc.

So, am not quite getting your post here... am not quite getting your point...
My granddaughter did nothing more than bring in a book, place it on her desk, made no mention or reference to it, did not open it or sue it in class, stayed on task with the class, attention to the teacher. She simply was exercising her right to bring in a book, which includes the Bible, and placed it on her desk. This is not any different than any other student bringing in a book from home and placing it on their desk.

Also, she did this to not antagonize or disrupt, but to simply exemplify that bringing the Bible to school is not illegal, and she knew she was acting within her Constitutional rights. Should the teacher have her "hide" the Bible, then the teacher must have all students take their books of their desks as well. Is that what you are saying? :hi:
