41. That excuse doesn't work anymore.
Yes Bush left the country in shambles* when he left office, but Obama seems hellbent on continuing those failed policies. The only discernible change has been the party and person that occupies the office.

I don't expect Obama to turn the country around on a dime, however he's had plenty of time and a Dem congress to make inroads. Instead that advantage has been frittered away for further corporate giveaways and the financial system is still in disarray. Hell Obama is even willing to bargain away rights in order to get legislation passed (like he did with women in order to pass the health insurance company bailout bill).

And yes, I also realize that Congress doesn't march in lockstep. That's where leadership kicks in. Of course it doesn't help that the Obama administration openly detests the very base it claims to represent.

All the "but..but Bush" excuse making in the world isn't going to quell the growing dissatisfaction. And if Obama isn't responsible now, then when?! Obama isn't the first president to inherit a lousy situation.

*Don't forget that Clinton was the one that repealed GlassSteagall and gave us NAFTA. Lousy policies aren't exclusive to one party.
