I was clicking and noticed "Thomas Kinkade: Painter of Light" on ShopNBC. I haven't seen the man's work since he was on QVC about 8 or 10 years ago.
OK, his work is worse than it used to be. Much more schmaltzy. My partner remarked on Kinkade's gestalt being akin to the sugary Nazi paintings. Yes, I suppose TK drinks a lot. His perspective has gotten BAD. And why oh why the red azaleas and other flowers all over the place?
TK actually compared himself to A. Bierstadt, painter of the unspoiled American West as well as South America!!! The man needs some humility.
