Listening Briefly To The Senate Debate The Repugs Are Waging On This.....

reconciliation fix-it bill - I couldn't help but think that the Repugs are going to regret them making many of the comments that they are during this debate. Many of the things that they are saying are reasonable concerns, fixes and additions. Sure some are just repeating the talking points that we've heard for the last 14 months or so - but others might have some valid points.

Unfortunately for them - at this moment - they will not be changed or added to this bill. The Dems are just running out the clock and will make good to the House their promise to put through these fixes without change.

Going forward, however, many of the words the Repugs are using now to confound this process will come back to haunt them when actual fixes will be attempted to be made to make this new law even better. The Dems will use the Repugs words to show that they support some of the fixes that will need to be made and will come in the future.

Again - I think Obama is a chess player that is at least three moves ahead of his foes.

This will be fun to watch as they will then try to wiggle out of their statements that they made during this period.
